GYMS.
Took over a gym tonight and parked my Arcanine in it. Went down the street and took down all 3 Pokemons at a red gym (I'm Team Valor, of course), but it didn't seem to increase anything for me: I didn't get any more XP, no Stardust or candies, and my Pokemons who won the fights didn't get any bigger. I'm not getting something in how to do this. Someone care to explain?

Tried a GPS hack earlier, didn't work. Realised it would just take the point of the game away anyway so not gonna bother trying again.

And when you have a Pokemon in a gym, does it fight automatically, or do you have to control it when someone else wants to take it on?
I took over another gym and parked my Arcanine there, and a couple minutes later noticed he was back in my list totally depleted. I haven't been able to use any revives or sprays during bouts. Also can't figure out the Pokemon's super attack thing. If it's one long blue dash, is that longer duration to get it activated than the several small dashes? What?

Also can't figure out the Pokemon's super attack thing. If it's one long blue dash, is that longer duration to get it activated than the several small dashes? What? No control once it's there mate, you just have to hope for the best. As for the super attack thing.. Standard move: Tap once on the screen. Each tap will execute a standard move. Special move: Watch the blue bar underneath your Pokémon’s HP. As you perform standard moves, it will fill up. One blue block means you can execute a special move, by long pressing on the screen. Dodge: Swipe left or right, or tap the left or right side of the screen to dodge incoming attacks Swap Pokémon: Tap the up-down-arrow button on the bottom-right of the screen to switch the current Pokémon with another one Special moves are not always good: It’s tempting to use the special move as soon as it is charged, but if it’s a big one, it might be best to wait until it can be used as a finishing blow. Because the special move will leave you static and unable to dodge, and may have a cool-down time, firing it will open you up to a frenzy of attacks. Also be sure to take advantage by relentlessly attacking your enemies when they are charging up a special.

I have also read that in that update alot of pokestops have been removed

The update is terrible, instead of fixing the 3 steps bug they removed it altogether and closed websites like pokevision. Now we just rely on luck to catch pokemon as there is no tracking.

I haven't been able to transfer any pokemons to the professor. The "transfer" option is gone. Click on whichever Pokemon you wanna get rid of, then bottom right there should be a menu tab, open that.
