amazing how someone can come in so arrogantly, tearing up a perfectly fine coaching team to replace them with novices. amazing how someone can tel rio ferdinand the rolls royce defender he is to watch videos of the ford focus that is phil jagielka. amazing how someone so deluded can come in and realise he was the major reason we have had to get into the market so heavily, he was the foundation of things going wrong, in fact to put it kindly he was his own worst enemy. David Moyes please stop making excuses for you failures, you continue to mention us and we try to forget you! I would agree with the first two points. On the third, the demise of the team happened on Fergies watch. Too many were coming to the end of their careers when he left. It was going to be a major rebuilding job no matter who came in. The fact is we got Moyes, who was out of his depth, and Ego Van Gaal, who proceeded to tear apart the traditions and values the club was built on i.e attacking football. i wonder how much Fergie had control over spending in his final years. E.g. why didn't we go out and buy a midfielder instead of getting Scholes out of retirement. I think, there is far more to the transfer sagas than just poor judgement

Moyes' solution to this problem was Fellaini. And that "team on demise" had just been the premier league champions.

I know the team were reigning champions but that says more about Fergies man management than that teams longevity. There was a big clearout needed and the right kind of player brought in. That problem is only now being addressed properly. The only good thing Van Gaal did was he blooded players. I said already moyes was out of his depth. I'm still scratching my head why Mourinho wasn't appointed in 2013. I think we reaped the reward of massive under investment, in all aspects of the club, in the 4 or 5 years before Fergie left.

E.g. why didn't we go out and buy a midfielder instead of getting Scholes out of retirement. I think, there is far more to the transfer sagas than just poor judgement We did have a lot of older players when Fergie retired, who would be needing to be replaced in a season or two (Giggs, Scholes, Rio, Evra, Vidic, RVP, Carrick), but I think too much has been made in the press of this idea that Fergie allowed the team to stagnate and left his predecessor to clear up the mess. We had a lot of young players around, Fergie had clearly tried to bring a lot of young talent in, give them time learning both from him and from the senior pro's, and then replace them when they left. It didn't really work, too many didn't hit the hights of the older players, but the way the press put it it's as though he just sat back and did nothing as the team got older and older. In 2013 we had: De Gea - 23 Rafael & Fabio - 23 Evans - 25 Buttner - 24 Smalling - 24 Jones - 21 Cleverley - 24 Powell - 19 Januzaj - 17 Anderson - 25 Hernandez - 25 Welbeck - 23 Every one of those still had years to hit their peak. Maybe it's not great judgement on Fergie's part to bring in players who weren't up to it, but he did try to leave the team as healthy as he could for Moyes.

The trouble is that the calibre of those players wasn't up to standard. How many of them are still at Utd? There were only 2 I was sad to see go, Wellbeck and Chicarito and Wellbeck only because he rose through the ranks. I'm of the opinion that Fergie was severely curtailed in his spending power by the board. Van Persie aside, who in the last few years was decent money spent on? I think Smalling was the dearest on that list @ 12 million (?)As I said on another post, i think we reaped the rewards over the last 3 years of chronic underinvestment in the team ( and other areas). Think the Glazers got too used to Fergie performing miracles

I actually can forgive Moyes for all the mistakes he made with coaching staff, poor management, Fellaini, et al. He was never up to it in the first place. What I can't forgive is the diarrhea that has oozed from his puckered lips ever since he left. You are totally and utterly insignificant in the history of the sport and the history of United. Shut the fuck up, and move on you bug eyed tit.

The job was just too much for me, I tried but I couldn't handle the enormity of the role." Just be a man and be honest. He talks like a spoilt little brat, not good enough and not clever enough, but too fucking spoilt to admit it, so instead blames everyone else for his fuck up.

On the other hand, it would have been hilarious to see Ronaldo, Bale, and Kroos playing Moyes' brand of football.

Would be funny unless you had seen those 3 playing their games, and then ending up with Moyes, cuz that bug-eyed fooker could hose up a dream starring Kate Beckinsale. If one had to watch those three after they had been "moysed" nothing but a lynching would have done for that. would like to see him receive a tape of Miki's goal and have to watch it over and over and over :"D Damn that should well be the strike of the year, be hard to match that one.

Yeah... except Paul Pogba would never accept to be managed by Moyes.

Has the penny finally dropped with those bellends in the press yet? Hard luck Dave wasn't hard done to unless your name happens to be Richard Keys and being Scottish and Fergie's mate got him the job in the first place.
