No real surprise. As with the Saville case, the people who just stood by whilst knowing what was going on pretty much escape without any real censure. Until we start bringing charges retrospectively against these bastards then nothing will change.

Just watched that BBC panel with the affected men.
Football, for all it provides to society as an window for escape and pleasure, has a hell f a lot to be held accountable for. i wholeheartedly believe that persons in the game knew about the alleged abuse of young players, and that this man was abusing other children. just as with Saville they turn a blind eye, because they don't want to be a "grass" or a "snitch".
shame on them! shame on everyone who knows the dark secrets in society and choose to do nothing!
i believe in karma. their time will come, and if not, it will be passed down to the next generation. natural justice will ensure that.

Aware since about 2001 supposedly. Then theres the clubs allegedly making payments to victims (along with making them sign confidentiality agreements) to keep quiet. This is one hell of a massive can of worms.

Such a spectacular lack of understanding of the torment these kids were going through. Mind you, I always thought he was a bellend anyway, so he's just playing to type.

Excellent reporting from The Guardian. I have a lot of problems with them - mainly their Opinion section which will literally run anything as long as it doesn't make sense, and on the football side Sid Lowe's potentially top-drawer Spain coverage is ruined by his unbridled love for all things Barcelona - but in terms of investigative reporting, there isn't a paper I would trust more. Really shocking what has allegedly occured.

Bristow was being interviewed by Piers Morgan this morning. The guy's just as dumb as you come, I actually found it hard to watch. Such a fucking cretin!

I've been trying to avoid the bad threads but hearing Gary Speed's name as a possible victim certainly makes you think. Fuck I hate life.

To be honest, they should just ignore the Twat. Giving these idiots airtime just gives their views oxygen, when the real issues are considerably more serious.

I've found that over the years he has had very little regard for Real regardless of how well they are doing, and having read his book on El Clasico I found it to have a very disappointing bias in the modern section, which was a shame as the earlier parts of the book were excellent.
