Manchester United face Celta Vigo on Thursday in a Europa League semi-final with just one fit centre-half in Daley Blind.
Eric Bailly sustained a calf injury during Sunday’s awful 1-1 draw with Swansea and now United have major defensive issues.
Marcos Rojo is out with a long-term injury, while Chis Smalling and Phil Jones are both sidelined.
“I don’t think they will be fit, that’s my personal opinion, I don’t think they will but I know that the players I choose they give everything,” said Mourinho.
“It doesn’t matter if I go with (Matteo) Darmian as a central defender, if I go with (Michael) Carrick or Axel (Tuanzebe), I trust the boys.
“The spirit is amazing, the group is phenomenal. Fellaini and Pogba will be back for that game, so we have more options and we try with everything we have and we go again.”

Well we have Tuanzebe so use him ffs. Not ideal for him to start in a game like this but he'll have to start somewhere.
Hopefully Pogba will be back as well.
Score and dont lose, I'll be happy with that outcome. 2 or 3-0 would be preferred.

I foresee the vaunted 9-1 formation. Rashford to run his socks off while United concede a late goal.
Maybe Mourinho will trust the kid at CB. More likely he will play Darmian and that will result in a goal against.
I struggle to see any positive. United want to win a treble every single season yet cannot last through the league and Europa without "emergency" picks in the starting XI.
Mourinho says he wants to have a squad of 22. This is what the modern squad of 23 looks like. Darmian at CB and Tree as a nailed on CDM.

Dont feel like getting my hopes up, Jose is not going to play tuanzebe as a CB for such an important match, although he should.
