Haha, I live 5 minutes from the beach on that 2nd vid (y) My goals: Shed another few stone (lost 2 already this year). Complete my black belt. Cycle coast to coast off-road from Skye through to Montrose taking in the Cairngorms on route. Build a new workshop and get back to being a stone carver. Slightly different, but I fancy learning how to build dry stone walls. As I'm a bit obsessive about finishing repetitive tasks it would probably suit me! And I love being in the countryside. Done quite a lot of dry stone dyking and walling over the past 20 years. Have a look at the www.dswa.org.ukTheir site is a bit out of date, but if you follow the links to the local branches, you'll probably;y find a course going on near you. That's how I started walling, just by doing a weekend course. You'd think rock music or the Stones would be good walling music, but I prefer techno......

For those wanting to see the Northern Lights, check this out:
The geomagnetic storm watch for the 6 and 7 September, 2017 UTC-days has been upgraded to G3 (Strong). The G3 Watch is in anticipation of likely overall geomagnetic planetary response to the expected arrival of a coronal mass ejection (CME) that took place in association with an M5 flare (R2-Moderate radio blackout) observed on 4 September at 2033 UTC (1633 ET). Current analysis and forecasts reflect CME arrival late on 6 September, 2017; with CME effects continuing into 7 September. Keep checking swpc.noaa.gov for updates to the forecast.
So Northern Lights will be visible in the North of Scotland tonight assuming the clouds don't cover the sky.
100% cloud cover expected....oh fuck it!!!

go see the Northern Lights.
go to Machu Picchu and other ancient sights.
swim with sharks. also get my Padi license. only ever scuba dived once but loved it.
I am fund raising over the next year to raise money for a certain charity. in this I am wanting to complete: UK Three Peaks, Yorkshire Three Peaks, Great North Swim, Keswick to Barrow (42mile walk/race, as well as a few obstacle course races
I have ticked a few of my bucket list already: work in Fiji (granddad was from there and made me want to visit). learn to snowboard and go on them holidays. sky dived in Vegas - definitely want to do another one.

Interesting thread...cheers Bestie...
I'm an old git and I travel a lot for my job so I have done a few things on other people's list (e.g. Northern Lights in Iceland...yep, work, really)...
List:
My wife to be in remission for many, many years Walk the Camino de Santiago (planned for 2018) Run a marathon (tick, I have done 4 x London Marathons) Do an Ironman (tick, just the one at age 50, in Switzerland) Win the Lottery Jackpot Buy an Aston Martin (see above) Run another marathon (just so that I know I can) Learn Spanish properly (not just the holiday stuff) Learn to play the piano (started then stopped - must try harder) Spend 3 - 6 months in an RV driving around the USA with my wife Skydive...
There are more but that will do for now...

Northern Lights last week were supposed to be amazing, but we had total cloud cover here. But for those living in the South of Scotland, the skies remained clear... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-41199051

Now that I'm basically retired, my main goal is to make sure the kids are financially secure, debt free homeowners with savings and multiple income streams, for when they are done with their education and ready to go out into the big wide world. I don't wan't to leave them much of an inheritance, I want to give it to them when they're young adults so they have a head start, instead of them potentially struggling through life waiting for me to die. As soon as both are done with education and settled into their lives, I'm going to fuck off to south east Asia or central America and spend the rest of my days drinking cheap beer on the beach. I'm leaning towards Belize. I love Thailand and Cambodia, but there's a stigma about western men moving to that part of the world, which I don't want any part of. I like Costa Rica as well, but I'll have to learn the language. New Zealand is also a possibility, but my money won't go as far there. Belize definitely looks like the best option as things stand, but I won't properly start making plans until closer to the time. We might live in a very different world by then.

It has everything that I'm looking for - jungles and wildlife, beautiful coastlines and beaches, historic sites, great food and drink, tropical climate, reasonably inexpensive cost of living. There are a few places in SE Asia and central America that tick all those boxes, though. I'm thinking more about Belize because I think it ticks all the boxes, English is the official language, relatively low crime rates for the region, and nobody will assume I'm a pervert for moving there. I'll need a few trips over there before fully committing to moving, but I can live with that. It's not a bad excuse for a holiday.
