Bailly played Diouf onside but Jones was at fault for both goals. Jones played virtually no role in that first goal. Completely on Bailly and Darmian to a lesser degree.

Bailly looked like he was deliberately playing the guy onside. He walked backed on purpose. Might've had a sore ankle but that was terrible. He looked pissed off the whole game.

At least Darmian isn't always injured. This is one reason why he is better then Shaw right now. The second is Luke totally failed on this position last season. Then Matteo replaced him. It looks like Luke still can't forget about that terrible injury. I wanna be wrong about him but now he is in a very bad situation. Shaw with both legs in casts, in a wheelchair, with one of the wheels stuck and probably broken, is a better option than Darmian at left back. Take Shaw out of it and throw the wheelchair on at left back. It would still be a better option.

Jones ran into no man's land the exact opposite direction of the ball. I agree. Not only he ran into no mans land, I don't know why, from running forward, he suddenly takes a step back and puts hands behind his back at the exact moment the ball flies across him . Bailly is the 3rd line of defense there. Darmian is wholly culpable for not closing Diouf down and also not getting close enough to him in time to attempt to deter the cross. Jones should try to get in line with Darmian and Bailly but he just steps back all of a sudden, I don't know why. There wasn't a single other player in the box either so it wasn't like he was covering another Stoke player either. Utter brainfreeze from him and Darmian. If we want to be UTTERLY fair, then yes we can say Bailly should not switch off and be ahead of Chuopo Mouting there, but honestly, I too would expect Jones and Darmian to do MUCH more in that scenario. Horrible defending overall. EDIT: I must say Darmian was really fucking casual in getting back and covering Diouf. Like almost giving no fucks there. He should be at full tilt to cover Diouf, instead he's slowly raising his hand to ask for offside and jogging . Wank.

I think Bailey continued to play after he was injured or hurt. That challenge in the beginning was not good. Afterwards, He kept putting his hands on his hips and walked around. For a good five mins he wouldn't really run or do anything at all. I was thinking Jose was going to sub him out the whole game. He looked bad after that tackle

Bogey teams and grounds happen though. For years the Rents had an absolutely atrocious record at Fulham. Stoke away seems like it's now ours. That feels less disappointing today. Snake pit of a stadium, game-raisers, game after a stupid international break and two previously imperious CBs both making uncharacteristic errors. We should have won but we could have lost considering those factors. Shaw has played nearly 3 reserve games now I think and has looked sharp by all accounts. Time to get him back into the side and never see Darmian there again. He can sub in for Tony if needs be. Easy does it with Shaw I think would be the smart approach. He should play against Burton Wednesday week maybe??

I'm on holiday, in Portugal. We've not won a game any time I've been here. My bad!

Had to quickly post here.
As predicted they largely played pretty wank and lost their next game. Against Newcastle.
Standard fucking game-raising Stoke. I just hate them so much, it takes me a while to mentally move on after a game against them.
