The rest of our rivals can say what they want about these so called second rate trophies but winning is infectious and you could see how much the players enjoyed that tonight. Last year we got our beak wet and now the players want to lift more.

FML I was gonna chuck £10 on Betis with a minute to go, had a strange feeling after seeing the attempts Real were fucking up. Wouldn't let me as it suspended, offside goal for Betis. Went to put them on again and it fucking suspended again. 50/1 like. Fucking wankers.

Also thought Mata was class. Pulling out the party tricks throughout with the flicks. Unlucky not to score one himself as well.

Fuck, fuck, fuck. How could they concede that goal? Probably it got too easy for them cause this match was like you played FIFA on amateur level so lads decided to have a rest by the end.

Tony Martial...........wow, he really does have the skills. Think we have a really exciting season ahead of us with this squad, you can almost see and feel their confidence growing.

We know Martial can do this. Now that he's done it against Burton, I hope he's given a start next game to do it against league opposition.

Martial was excellent, you could tell he really wanted that goal. But then Rashford did well and scored twice though he was ineffectual last weekend. Who drops out for Southampton?
What a pleasant conundrum. Exactly the sort of thing we should be 'worrying' about.

1 thing on the match lindelof is going to take a lot of time he looks nervous as fuck, he did a great little run with the ball, he reminds me a bit of john stones in him, which to be fair hes been very good this season.just think hes realy going to take a bit of time.
Also for me when shaw came on i though his side got bypassed a bit, when i was watching him u know therr is a player in there i just feel that we might not see it tho, i can see us buying a new lb in the summer

Admitting you didn't want to humiliate them is probably more humiliating Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho admits that he told his players to take the foot off the gas at half-time to not humiliate “a great opponent”. The Red Devils raced into a 3-0 lead at the interval against Burton Albion thanks to two early goals from Marcus Rashford and one ten minutes before the interval from Jesse Lingard. Only one more goal followed for United after the break when Anthony Martial got on the scoresheet on the hour mark and Burton even grabbed a consolation in injury time to make it 4-1. And Mourinho claims it was not his objective to claim a “big result” and that he just wanted to “win the game”. “I just want to win the game,” Mourinho told talkSPORT. “The objective is not a big result – a humiliation to a great opponent that is his and will be fighting hard in the Championship. “So we just want to win it, and while the result was open we did it in a strong way. “When we arrive at half-time with the 3-0, from that moment it is just to let it go and finish as soon as possible.”
