I'm really looking forward to this match. The same for Manchester derby. But I got it some time ago - our rivalry with Liverpool isn't so exciting like it was. I mean Liverpool has no players like Gerrard who you totally dislike and want to beat him every match. Those rivalry was much more then just football. That was like rivalry with your most hated enemy. Characters like Gerrard did it principled. I don't hate anyone of Liverpool current squad. I'm still wanting to beat Liverpool every match but don't have the same feelings like i had 7-6 years ago.

For example, I don't hate Mignolet or Karius cause they're so pathetic and laughable. They are just clowns with serious faces.

I have a mate of 45 years and his wife arriving Saturday arvo from Glossop, both red to the core. Can’t wait for the reunion and the match, what a night (it’s on at 21.30) it’s going to be!
PS Not looking forward to Sunday so much though, cooking a BBQ for 12 with a hangover! 😄

Liverpool could field George Clooney, Gandhi, Churchill, Jimmy Stewart, Christopher Lee and JFK and they'd still be an utterly hateful shower of cunts. And this will always be the case.

Fuck, I didn’t realise how arduous our fixture list is between now and the next international break. 7 games, 5 of which are away from home, and 3 of which are against teams that finished above us last year, including first and second place. Come out of this with 9/10 PL points and 4/6 CL points and we really will be flying:
Liverpool (A) Benfica (A) Huddersfield (A) Swansea (A) (League Cup) Spurs (H) Benfica (H) Chelsea (A)

We can beat our chests all we want but we hardly perform at the Bridge. And on the rare occasions we do we get fuck all from the Refs. A draw at that shithole is actually an achievement.

If we win against the dippers, Huddersfield and the bottlers and then get a draw at the renters that would be a great PL run. A draw at the Bridge is never a bad result at this stage of the season (except under LVG when we gave it away in the 93rd minute whilst they were in meltdown). Even a loss wouldn’t be that damaging if we won the three games before it. That won’t be easy though, because Spurs are still a very good side and the dippers are the dippers and anything can happen there.
The Benfica games are curious. On paper they should be the hardest team to face in the group, but they’ve been shit so far and lost at home to that wank CSKA side that we brushed past in Russia. 4 points would be good for qualification, especially if Basel and CSKA draw a couple of times, so I’ll take that, but maybe we should be expecting 6 so we can wrap up first place with 1 or even 2 games to spare. If we could secure top with 2 games left that could provide some much needed rests in the last two games for key players before the manic Christmas schedule.

With city playing as well as they are over them fixtures in the lg we realy cant be dropping amy points for me, plus they have already smashed liverpool and done chelsea away. I think we need to be as close as possible to them come derby day

We can ruin their season with a win in this, it's huge.
10 point gap, or a 4 point gap.
Put them to bed before October is halfway done

The only negative for me is we are playing them after a 2 week break on a Saturday early away. ( see stoke) This will be a big game for Herrera though, if we get on top in MF their defence won't cope with that attack and they will make mistakes and give us chances. The delivery from wide and good set pieces against that defence mean we should get a hatful of chances. It sounds obvious but if we are clinical I would exoect us to get 2 or 3 goals easily and win.
