The poxy cup win did nothing to calm my festering disappointment at the previous 2 league results. Nothing more than a win here will do. I'd love it to be stylish, but could live with 3 points however achieved.

The game last proves without Kane or Eriksen they're weak. Bailly you know what to do son. Right through him nice and early

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has cast doubt over Harry Kane’s fitness ahead of their trip to Manchester United on Saturday.
Kane went down clutching his thigh near the end of Spurs’ 4-1 victory over Liverpool on Sunday after scoring twice against the Merseysiders.
The England international sat out their Carabao Cup match against West Ham in which they managed to lose 3-2 at Wembley.
“We need to assess the team, we were forced to rotate for different reasons,” Pochettino told beINSPORTS.
When asked if Kane would be fit to face the Red Devils on Saturday, he said: “We’ll see.”

Matt Le Tissier has done a United/Spurs 11. Can only wholeheartedly disagree with Trippier instead of Valencia, which is dumb as fuck. Think the defence may change soon with Bailly forcing his way in there as well as any half decent left back we may sign, as I don't really rate Rose. It does highlight how much we're lacking in terms of quality at the top end of the pitch. Eriksen and Alli would absolutely waltz into our team at the moment. That's something we have to put right.

Honestly, apart from Trippier, that's pretty fair right now. Agree with what it means for our attackers, though I think Eriksen would way sooner get into our team than Alli. He's amazing and I'm still gutted we didn't get him from Ajax, whilst Alli is an amazing talent and still very young but just not as good IMO. Also I like Lukaku, but Kane is definitely better than him.

I can't believe he's still on a warning! I've been away, wrote 3/4 of a grad thesis, came back and He's Still On A Warning Also 26%? Isn't it 0-25-50-75-ban? Didn't know you had the power to pick the numbers. I wondered the same thing: does he have 26% left in the tank, or has he gotten 26% of the way towards a ban? left in the tank, but when I left he was on 25 I think

Apart from Valencia in for Trippier I cant argue with that really. Also I'm looking forward to McTominay's development now. He looked sharp on Tuesday night. My only concern is if he goes to same way as Tuanzebe and Fosu Mensah. They were brilliant in pretty much every game they features for us towards the end of the season and they've not featured much at all since (obv TFM is on loan). Hoping to see a lot more of them all in the near future.

Bailly, Jones, Pogba injured, and Fellaini (forgot for a moment)... it's going to be bus-parking time. I can't imagine JM going for the kill. Hopefully Matic has regained some energy because we are going to be chasing shadows trying to close down Ericksen and Alli. Kane... maybe it's best not to even speak of it. Park the bus or we're getting done 4 or 5 nil. When our first choice team is available, go for it. Unlike the Liverpool game, where I felt JM should have gone for the jugular, this time I wouldn't mind a little negative football.
