Despite our record at Stamford Bridge, I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. I don't expect Jose to change his ways and we shouldn't expect anything different than what we saw at Anfield. However, I'm thinking a we can snatch a late winner here.

Looks like Pogba is nearing a return, Mourinho was coy with his comments about him in his presser. On him possibly returning (to the bench at least) against Chelsea, he said "He's not very optimistic." but also said "I don’t want you to say that I lie when I told you no chance of recovery, so I prefer just to say two more days to confirm my expectation." Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench. That's good news even if he doesn't make it for this game with a 2 week break now we should have him back after that it seems. I would expect Fellaini and Rojo back by then also It'll be a huge boost having Pogba, Fellaini, Rojo and Ibra back in the squad. Don't think Pogba will be on the bench for this one, Jose won't risk it.

We always seem to be up against it here, even when we've been the best team there always seems to be a string of 50/50's that all go to the home team and turn the tide. Tough tough game, but despite that, I'm cautiously optimistic that this time we'll get the rub of the green and take the 3 points. I kind of hope that it's a dodgy ref decision that gifts us the game...........we are due one at the the Bridge and it would be lovely to hear everyone moaning like fuck that we bought the ref.
Pogba coming back soon, what a difference he will make !

It's a good time to play these rent bastards. They're having questions asked of them, as long as it's not a first 20 minute capitulation again because that was fucking embarrassing.

I heard Roma didn't show Chelsea any special respect or feel a need to park the bus. My heart says United should do the same but my head tells me it will be classic Jose. Probably the same team we played against Spurs and hopefully the same result to make up for a reserved performance.

Just a reminder to those who are saying that this is a good time to play against them - this is precisely what many of us thought last season, and they absolutely demolished us. Chelsea away is the toughest game of the season, we haven’t been good there for so long (whether it’s because we were outplayed or because a referee ruined the game) so I would advise to treat this game with caution and not to expect too much - on paper, a draw there is more than an OK result.
(Needless to say that I hope we go there and beat the living shit out of them, I’m just cautious in how I personally approach this game expectation-wise).

Just seen the highlights of our last victory at Stamford Bridge when RvP scored two, how I'd love a striker of his technical ability at the club again.

This is a game where I can't be arsed with all that bullshit of 'let's get a winner via a shit decision from the ref' Fucking go at them. Get beat, fuck it. City are the best team the Prem has ever seen anyway... EDIT: The default reaction from 75% of this board is to hope for a shitty win in a big game, but then moan like fuck when we actually do sneak a shit win.

I guess this only affects those living in different time zones, but I hate Sunday night games. Monday mornings are shit enough anyway, without having to get up extra early to see the game. It’s even more crappy if the result doesn’t go our way, having to cope with an extended day on a downer.
I can’t remember the last time we witnessed 2 good teams slugging it out like heavy weight boxers, rather than sparring and shadow boxing. I’m not optimistic this will be any different to what has become the norm, but we can live in hope!
