So we finished 19 points behind City, signed one player who will make the first team in Fred, and we were shown up by Everton, West Ham, Wolves etc in this transfer window when it comes to getting deals done, while at the same time falling out of the top six spenders.
The Glazers and Woodward don't give a flying fuck, it's all about keeping the cash cow going, brands left, right and centre. May stay in the top four, most probably consolidating our position from fourth to sixth or lower over the next few seasons.
We've turned into the North West's version of Arsenal.
Fuck you Jose. Fuck you Ed. Fuck the Glazers.

It's the same squad as last year that was 19 points of city, ye we have added Fred who will be part of the first team, but we also have players who are unhappy, older full backs and we still have fellaini, and most improtantly we still have Jose in charge so nothing is going to change anytime soon I think that the 19 point difference had a lot to do with the way both teams were being coached and instructed to play, rather than significant gaps of quality between the two playing squads. That being said, I don't necessarily disagree that City had a better team - I'm just saying it wasn't 19 points better. If there's one thing that can really be learned from SAF's last couple of seasons is that teams can be a lot greater than the sum of their parts. With Jose it really has been the opposite of it. Competitive athletes are creatures of confidence, you give them a lot of it and they flourish - you keep criticizing them and you diminish their belief. If Jose wants to make this season count he sure as hell needs to stop airing our dirty laundry in public and instead start building his players up.

Didn't Zidane bugger off because Perez was trying to tell him who to sign/get rid of? Imagine him with Ed's annual Bale hunt? He's no yes man. Replacing Jose wont cure the problem completely but Zidane's methods suit us far better than Jose's. Ed and the Yank cunts aren't going anywhere anytime soon so the only feasable solution is Jose out and somebody like Zidane in. You don't win 3 champions leagues in a row by playing defensive football so its a guaranteed improvement. If he brings Bale with him even better. Regrettably changing the manager won’t change a thing.we are well passed being run as the largest draw in football & have been reduced to a well oiled global marketing tool, that was once the most famous football club for the right reasons. Maybe we should look upon this summer as a bit of a potential turning point,ed & his yank mates can’t keeping flogging a dead horse, not to this extent, investment will not automatically keep knocking on the door, unless the ambition is meet on the pitch. Jose is the kind of man ,that wont let ed & yanks off the hook easily,he will demand more next season, even if this potentially unpromising season hopefully turns out to be good one.

'We can do things in the transfer market that other clubs can only dream of.'
Ed Woodward said that.
Fuck off Ed.

Fellaini signed a new contract and our two full backs that will start the season are still two 30+ converted wingers. Trying to be positive but it’s hard to look past that. Imagine if Fellani had left we probably wouldn't get a replacement with Ed Balls up in charge. Getting rid of that shitheap by itself is a suitable replacement.

'We can do things in the transfer market that other clubs can only dream of.' Ed Woodward said that. Fuck off Ed. Technically true, other clubs would only dream of paying 3M more than Fellaini's release clause for him, they wouldn't actually fucking do it.

Those sides went, spent money and signed players that are upgrades on their current squads. We did not. You're right but those clubs are looking at lower caliber of players than the ones we would be pursing who are arguably much easier to obtain. We were looking at Toby A and Maguire, the first who is arguably the best CB in the prem and the other where a world record fee was being demanded. When you're looking at a different class of player than Everton and Wolves its sometimes harder to get the business done. I can get the anger and frustration though, I thought Alderweireld was a lock.

The issue with me isn't the fact we didn't sign a central defender, it's the chaotic way we tried to do it and the embarrassing way the window unfolded towards the end.
There doesn't appear to have been a clear strategy to how we were going to do it if we couldn't get Alderweireld (because of the tentative way we clearly approached trying to sign him), who I'm certain was our primary target. The fact that 2 of the other big links, in Maguire and Mina, being players that came off the back of a good World Cup proves this. There's not a chance either of them were considered big targets before the World Cup.
For all the talk of Spurs being really hard to deal with, I don't remember City having much trouble getting Walker off them last summer. He was linked with them for months, like Alderweireld and by the 14th July he was a City player for £50mil.
I'm aware it's always more difficult in a World Cup year but if Alderweireld was our primary target, which he 100% should've been, we should've approached it in a similarly efficient way. Alderweireld appears to have been keen on the move for as long as we were in for him. I'm sure he'd have left Belgium training to go through the process like plenty of players do. If not, then get it done straight after the World Cup, no fucking about.
Here's £40-45mil for a player your manager didn't play towards the end of last season and who we'll be able to get for £25mil next summer, a bit of toing and froing occurs and you probably end up paying £50-55mil, which in this market is a cracking deal for the best defender in the league, regardless of how much he'd be available for next summer.
Instead with 2 days to go, it still appears that nobody has a fucking clue what's going on. We're at the last minute trying to sign multiple players who clearly weren't in our thoughts at the start of the summer, players who are well below the quality of Alderweireld and inevitably end up with nothing.

A big part of the problem is that since Fergie it's less desirable to come and play under the three managers in charge all for different reasons.

^that, I am still struggling to see how much of what is going on with lack of players or money to get players is down to Jose? Gotta think that he would love an open pocketbook an chance to build his own legacy. This was supposedly his "Dream" job right ?

I hope Jose sees out the season, overachieves and sticks two fingers up to the grasping cunts and walks . Na, Jose's still a massive cunt and his behaviour during this transfer window, mainly towards his own players has been a fucking disgrace. He needs to shut his mouth and concentrate on getting the best out of the players he has available to him now, something which he has failed miserably at up to now. I still have no sympathy for him.
The debacle with trying to sign a central defender is the first time he hasn't got what he wanted since he's been here. Lukaku, Pogba, Matic, Fred, Sanchez, Lindelof, Bailly, Zlatan, Dalot, all players that he wanted and has got with minimum fuss. Not to mention Fellaini being given a new deal.
The cunt owners and the cunt manager don't excuse each other's cuntyness.
