We definitely owe Moyes some payback, for effectively dismantling our club single-handily!!!
We're still feeling the effects of his destruction!

We definitely owe Moyes some payback, for effectively dismantling our club single-handily!!! We're still feeling the effects of his destruction! I was terrified when Moyes was handpicked by Fergie to take over. The only ray of light was that maybe Fergie had seen something no one else had heretofore ever seen, but that turned out to be just wishful thinking. Moyes was out of his depth. However, [I've read that] Moyes took the job being promised he was adding Ronaldo, Bale, and Fabregas to his squad. I can only shudder at the insanity that would have ensued. Can you imagine Moyes giving the team talk while those three tried in vain to not roll their eyes? It almost would have been fun to see the chaos, or worse, what if those 3 had been signed and Moyes won the damn league? So yes, we owe Moyes one anyway. No quality player would have joined the Moyes project. I can't understand how they didn't think this through when they considered him. We offered a silly fee for Mata who was effectively being pushed out of the door anyway so joining was probably a no brainer.

Moyes was regularly talked about as a potential eventual successor to both Fergie and Wenger before 2013. It was just that by then he stil hadn't managed to win anything and it all felt like a damp squib.

The badge was never going to be enough to overcome Moyes. Moyes told Rio to play like Jagielka .... I just .... so clueless.

I honestly don't care about second at this stage. Maybe if we balls it up Mourinho will be forced to admit we're actually quite shit and have been let off the hook in terms of top four by the ineptitude of others. Want to win the FA Cup and the league is a waste of time.

What even is a strong team at this point? I'd argue most of the teams we have put out recently have been strong on paper, but it made no difference on the pitch.

One led by a manager that knows how to adapt to modern football? Use/Motivate his best players. Pretty sure Sir Alex could get them playing better football from his recovery room.

News of Sir Alex's health should provide extra motivation to our players to all put in man of the match displays. If we don't then we truly have a group of useless pricks.
