I’m bored so I figured I’d get this started. Anyone planning on making the trip to Russia? I won’t be myself, I saw the Russian ultras up close in Marseille and don’t fancy going into their territory. Hopefully though the Russian authorities get a handle on it early and keep all the fans safe. Should be an interesting World Cup due to the fact it’s very wide open. Reminds me a lot of the 2002 World Cup where anyone could go a deep run. Personally I think Germany are going to go back to back, may have lost some of their bite but they are still so well organised and of course have the experience. Belgium will disappoint again as will Brazil. France? Argentina? Who knows what version will show up. As for England i think we will do better than our last two WC appearances. Southgate seems to have them playing as a team and they have some great attacking options. Can’t see us going past the last 8 though we just don’t have a good enough defense or central midfield.

England to get out the group as runners up to Belgium, fancy 5 points.
So it'll prob be Colombia in the 1st knockout round. Think the fact it's in Europe could help England to get through that, to a likely quarter final against Germany, and that's where the story ends.
Semi finalists, my money would be Germany, France, Brazil and Spain.
France vs Spain final, and I'm going to go France to take the crown.

I should be in Russia for a couple weeks. Finalizing the deal now (I will be working). It’s going to be a weird World Cup without Italy, Holland , and the USA.

I should clarify: it's going to be a weird World Cup - for me - without Italy, Holland, and the USA.

I think Spain, Germany, France and Brazil are the four teams with a shot. On paper I think France have the most balanced squad but many of their players don't seem ready to hit the ground running. I think people are overlooking Germany a bit too.
Wish there were decent Dutch, Italian and Chilean sides. Chile have been my 'second team' in the past couple of World Cups so I'll miss them being there.
Hopefully Argentina, Spain or Brazil don't win (in that order). The wankfests over Messi or Spain if they won would be nauseating.
England to go out in the second round.

Surprised nobody has mentioned Portugal, the European Champions. Cristiano is playing some of his best football, the Portuguese have finally found a formula that seems to work for them too, not to mention some of their younger talent gelling well in the national team setup. I think Portugal will at least reach the semi-final .
But apart from them, Germany, Spain and France for me. Brazil have a shambolic defense, Argentina do not know how to play football as a team at all and Belgium, although are stacked with talent, are managed by fucking Roberto Martinez .

There’s a fair play award in it this year? Fair play and Dele Alli are not compatible partners.
