The only acceptable announcement will be when those fuckers are selling the club.

The fundamental problem is that the interest required to service the massive debt load and the dividends they like to draw every year mean we will never have the spending power a club of our stature should have.
Giving fans lots of shares with equal voting rights won't make an ounce of difference because the Glazers will always make sure to retain a controlling stake and therefore determine the financial and operating decisions.
Also it is easy to fob the fans off with vague promises about player investment and improving the stadium and training grounds. But you can be sure any such expenditure will be woefully inadequate because it will always be a residual use of funds after interest and dividends have absorbed the bulk of it.
And I'd also have liked some tough questions to be asked about some of the footballing decisions that are being made at the club:
e.g. why on earth are we giving a 3 year contract extension to a manager with 1 year left on his contract that has yet to win anything and is hardly a flight risk as this is the only top managerial job he'll ever have in his entire life?
e.g. why do we think its acceptable to have Murtough as footballing director, Fletcher as technical director and Ole as manager when they are massively underqualified for their respective roles?
e.g. why do we keep giving contract extensions to fringe players on high wages that even with the contract extensions would have next to no resale value?
The entire club is a bloody mess and the Glazers self-interest means nothing fundamental will ever change

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/57355929"BBC Sport has been told by one fan representative present at the meeting that they were shocked at how engaging Glazer was, although some questions did not receive direct answers." Well theres a surprise. "In addition to answering questions, Glazer took follow-ups, meaning the meeting was extended by an additional 20 minutes."16 years at the club and this low life bullshitter gives them an extra 20 mins, thats big of him.

If they have no desire to pay the debt back or find a sustainable way of managing it then whats the point talking to them? I suspect that forum was all very nicey nicey. Is there any minutes of the meeting?

There's enough lip-service there to placate some of the less agitated fans. Particularly if we spend big in the transfer market this Summer. But, yeah, the points about dividends and debt, ooof! Clearly Joel wasn't properly prepped, as he really should skirting those questions with bluster and double speak. The only truth that has ever been spoken by them.

Big Club FC.
The boarded up window wouldn't bother me if it was done last week but that rust behind the tram lines where most people can't see it sums this lot up

Only thing that happened from this is MUST got a tug from the Glazers. Wankers the both of them. Dissolve both. So it turns out that MUST have been speaking to the Glazers since October. MUST failed to ask the most requested question submitted through the official channels. Anyone surprised by that ? Anyone with access to companies house should have a look at their accounts or have a quick look at the screen shots that Red Issue have tweeted. How can they can actually claim to represent the fans is truly baffling, they've only 4000 paid up members for a start.

Manchester United’s Joel Glazer admits ‘silence gave impression we don’t care’
The Manchester United executive vice-chairman, Joel Glazer, has conceded that his family’s silence has given fans the impression they do not care about the club.
Glazer made the admission in a two-hour meeting with the United fans’ forum earlier this month, the minutes of which have now been published. The meeting was arranged after the club’s involvement in the short-lived European Super League project sparked a fresh wave of protests against the Glazer family.
Six English ESL breakaway clubs agree to pay £22m to grassroots causes
“We always took the approach that we should stay in the background [and] let the manager, the players, the people at Old Trafford, be the ones out in front, communicating and talking,” said Glazer. “In retrospect, that was not the right approach and there’s a middle ground.”
“Our silence wrongly created the impression that we don’t care, that we aren’t football fans, that we only care about our commercial interests and money,” the 54-year-old added. “I can assure you nothing could be further from the truth.” Glazer was told by one United supporter the club had become a “laughing stock”.
Glazer also said he was well aware of the strong criticism aimed at the owning family from the likes of Gary Neville, the former Manchester United defender who is now a prominent media pundit.
“I know Gary has been, to say the least, pretty hard on us, and it’s OK. Everybody has their views,” Glazer said. “There’s two ways to look at it – you can just shut the person out because they’re not saying something nice about you. Or you can pause, you can listen. You can’t ignore people, we have got to listen.”
“You can’t necessarily accomplish everything, it’s not always that simple. Sometimes things are a little more complex, but Gary’s a legend. Gary did so much for this club. Gary has good ideas, good thoughts, and they’re heard.”
Glazer set out plans to create a new fan advisory board which would consult with the club’s senior leadership on a regular basis. Discussions with the Manchester United Supporters’ Trust over a proposed fan share ownership scheme would also be stepped up.
“With these two initiatives, which would just be the beginning, we feel we can reset the relationship with our supporters, strengthen the club as a whole and do bigger and better things,” Glazer added.

If anyone wants to read the full minutes from the fans forum,Ian Stirling has posted them to his Twitter account. Clearly evident from the minutes content that MUST do not fairly represent the views of the fans, they only have 4000 members. There was never any intention to blunt & frank with Joel Glazer. The fan share scheme was MUST's sole focus of the meeting & without previously declaring it to their membership, they had been in talks with the club for a long time. The real issues like debt, ownership & lack of investment were either not asked or certainly not questioned in any real depth. MUST have their own agenda & clearly do not represent the majority of the fan base.
