i can understand keeping Rojo until we get another CB, but why on earth do we want to keep darmian. hes utterly useless. hes not even sturdy, or safe, or boring. hes just rubbish.
Id have happily let Rojo go if we kept hold of Tuenzebe or TFM but another year on late will do them more good than sittin on our bench.
id rather us sell Smalling than Rojo too

Their inflated wages are the problem and neither will be over bothered by taking a cut, especially Rojo. I don't know this personally, but I would guess Darmian would take the cut to play in Italy if anyone would buy him! Rojo won't though

It really highlights how bad recruitment has been. especially under Van Gaal. I said that would be the problem with him when he first came rather than his ability as a coach.
The legacy of that has been the one excuse I would give Mourinho, but it also highlights the myth of Mourinho as a coach! The much bigger and better investment in very good players plus the extra years of development and experience for players like Rashford, Martial, Lingard, should have yielded so much more than Van Gaal!
A really savvy experienced director of football, with a vision and a young talented coach with a track record of developing young players and experience at this level ( Zidane, Poch are good examples) along with United's resources is the only way forward. The sooner the better IMO, because we already have some super young players and really good ones in their mid 20's. (if we can keep them (Martial, Pogba)
I am more interested in that development than anything else

I believe the target for the January should be to have a new recruitment structure in place and ready to start. Building for next season.

Why the fuck did we give him a new contract?!

Anyway, would sell both. might as well have played with 10 men. he got murdered countlessly and give the ball away a lot. hes absolutely dire. we need to get rid of him before the European windows shut. just play Young at RB until the other RBs are fit.

Are you talking about Darmian's peformance against Leicester? Thought he had a relatively solid game. Delivery when attacking wasn't great, but he wasn't terrible.
