He's embarrassed himself there after FT. Went full Summerbee. He’s properly lost it now. Said there’s nothing special about tactical masterclasses from Simeone or Mourinho. He’s frothing. No it's nothing special about tactical masterclass

Jurgen Stropp is crying now because of the way Atleti played Fuck I've missed this side of them. Back to normal for a bit at least.

Simeone is the best manager in the world, or at least very very close. What he does year in year out, only very recently gaining significant financial resources, is unparalleled. I respect him more than any other manager in the game today. What a man. What a fucking man. Those celebrations too! Funny you say that, because Simeone is probably the only manager who still proves the ‘cult of the manager’ thing still applies. Pep, Klopp, Zidane etc. have all been massively backed in the market and have been allowed to remake their squads. As I’m watching Simeone celebrate, it occurred to me that those Atletico players would run through walls for him, and have totally bought in, not unlike Jose at Inter. How many of our squad would do the same if we appointed Simeone tomorrow? How many of our squad would openly revolt? What about last years squad before Ole shipped a bunch out? Maybe our problem isn’t the manager, but the players thinking managers don’t apply to them.

Any chance they can get Keano back on MNF to reignite that chat with Carragher about best combined team? I was thinking the same thing. The utter fucking cheek of that assclown to say Mane is better than prime Giggs. Fucking thundercunt.

If we got sick of Jose being defensive, Simeone is like the covid19 of defensive tactics. These players who revolted under Jose will probably run away into a country with no extradition treaties with the UK.

"It means that Liverpool have gone out of the Champions League and the FA Cup within eight days and have lost four of their last six games. It again puts into perspective Manchester United’s treble-winning achievement in 1998-1999."
Pretty much sums up the daft early comparison

United lost 4 of 62 games that season, Arsenal in 2003-04 lost 6 in 58, City last season lost 6 in 60, Chelsea in 2004-05 lost 6 in 59; Liverpool this season have lost 6 in 47, and that's being kind to them and including the World Club Championship and the European Super Cup. Best team ever? My arse.

However, in regard to the comparison with the treble team, the mention of going out of two competitions in 8 days made me chuckle...

Especially considering they’re so far ahead in the league that they should’ve been able to prioritize the cups, where every match in 99 and 08 mattered in all competitions.

Klopp should’ve been heavily rotating in the league where it’s all done instead he saved the heavy rotation for the FA cup. Oh well, their pain is our joy and at least it’s making some realize how amazing our 99 treble really was.

Fuck the vermin.
Fuck their league title.
They've been humbled in 2020 and found out for the lucky shites they are.
Anybody comparing this lot of rats to our treble side is an insult. Not fit to lace the 99 sides boots.

I’m probably pouring more gasoline on the fire of despair but city will be fully locked in on the champions league now and looked impressive taking down Madrid prior to the shutdown.. Imagine the scenes, dippers win the league and city win the champions league...fuck.
