As much as I hate PSG I hate City more and I want better opposition to knock them out. Atalanta wouldn’t.

Would be nice to see Ander win the CL imo - but not at the giant expense of these oil cunts, and especially that slimy cunt Di Maria, winning it. Would love to see Atleti knock them out in the semi. A proper fucking club, reinvented over a decade through sheer grit, to a point where they scare every club in Europe. Not everyone likes them but everyone respects the club and what they've done (except some deluded scousers probably). To see them topple this fake club would be glorious, especially if they finally go on and win the whole thing. I genuinely don’t get the Ander love on here. He’s like the Spanish Paul Ince. Dirty tackler, niggley and a very theatrical player. He was one of ours. He was heroic on more than one occasion. And I don't think he did anything wrong when he left - he waited ages for our offer, Ed dicked around, and PSG came in with an obscene one that he'd be mad to turn down.

As much as I hate PSG I hate City more and I want better opposition to knock them out. Atalanta wouldn’t. Hoping Bayern have us covered on that score. Bayern-Atleti final would do me, I'd rather Simeone finally wins it but they're the two best remaining options IMO. Lyon fine but won't happen, Barca are cunts, Leipzig are a fake club, PSG are a monstrously awful club as are City. That leaves the other two.

Not mad at the guy just don’t care enough for him to win a champions league. He was fine.

Anyone got a bad feeling about this tournament set up? Wouldn’t put it past UEFA to start a special knockout tournament in the summer every other year.

Oil money vs Red Bull would be very 2020 to be fair to Red Bull though, they haven't just gone out and bought the best players. they develop players and sell them on and actually build something. very similar to how the operate in F1 and Moto GP.

Simeone is ‘everyone’s favourite villain’ apparently. How about ‘most consistently impressive manager in the past decade’ instead?
Fuck I hate BT. Fletch gets away with it because McManaman, Savage etc. are even worse.

Fletch gets away with it because McManaman, Savage etc. are even worse. What is actually impressive about him? You keep saying it but I have never understood why. Just because of that one title he won? He is the most boring manager in Europe. He's fucking taken Joao Felix and completely eviscerated any semblance of what he was as a footballer. Said it before he is worse than Mourinho . They scored 51 goals in La Liga this season, the lowest in the top 7. And they had 16 draws. Sixteen.

He took Atletico, a second rate Spanish club, to the same level quality-wise as the 'big two' for most of the past decade. He has consistently had less money (don't forget they made a profit on transfers last summer) and yet made more of what he has had than any other manager around. By rights Atletico should be fighting for the Europa, no higher than Sevilla - instead they're in the business end of the CL nearly every season and every team in Europe fears playing them. He inspires total loyalty in his players and I've genuinely never heard one (past or present) say they dislike him - can't think of another manager who's been around 5+ years who can say that. They've also been horrendously unlucky in two Champions League finals. But even if you don't see any of that, you can surely see the villain comment is nonsense at least. Save that for the clubs that are genuinely trying to destroy football - such as PSG, City, and funnily enough, Leipzig.

They're fantastic in defense but that's just it. They're absolutely uninspiring to watch. I don't disagree with the other things you've said about it re loyalty and character - he probably is a great leader. I can't watch that team though. Utterly tedious.
