""We have to stand tall. We’re obviously going through a tough patch but we are the only ones who can turn it around." - Chris Smalling"
Tbf I think Smalling isn't one of the twats not playing for him. Yeah. Smalling is just crap anyway.

Literally the best player on the park in the first half. Yep. Nonsense statement about Guedes. Different game. Because you say so? Don't think so. IMO I wasnt impressed by him. If you think different then so be it but its hardly nonsense, I was basing it from what I also saw in the world cup. Not saying he is garbage as a player, I'm saying that from what I HAVE SEEN of him.

Also, Rashford flattered to deceive all night. Zero end product. Hasn't progressed at all under Mourinho. Flattered to deceive is still better than most of our attackers are doing at the minute. Comfortably the best of the 3 that started the game last night, even if Sanchez was better than his usual utter shite.
Agree he hasn't progressed. Nobody has. At least nobody with any attacking instincts anyway.

Can talk forever about who we'd like to see in the side and stuff. I want to see Pereira and Fred in midfield with Martial through the middle and Lukaku benched but they're all moot points right now.
Nothing will change until the manager is gone, regardless of which players are on the pitch. The situation is too far gone already to be rescued.

Ive said this before. Being a local lad seems to have some what shielded him from criticism so far. To his credit last night though he was the only attacking player that looked like doing anything going forward.

If all the attackers are going backwards rather than forwards then you've got to look at the manager.
Don't necessarily agree with the bolded part either. I've seen plenty of criticism of him. On here and elsewhere. He seems to have less backing from the United fan base than Martial does from what I've seen. Which I don't quite understand.

Ive hardly seen any criticism to be fair but maybe so, I'm just going on what I've seen. Quite a few players are escaping their fair amount of criticism to be fair. A lot of them seem to be getting away with a lot more than they should with the majority of the black being angled towards Mourinho. As for him last night I think anybody being critical is a bit harsh, as you've said with other players going backwards. If Lukaku plays like last night again he needs to be benched or at the very least taken off. Sanchez wasn't great but I'd have taken Lukaku off instead, he just didn't seem bothered, whereas Rashford did but he had nobody there with him.

I honestly believe that Martial is potentially the best striker we have in this squad. He's far more suited to playing through the middle than he is on the left IMO. Just like I believe Rashford is far more suited to playing out on the left than he is through the middle.
I wouldn't wait to bench Lukaku. I'd do it in the next game. Front 3 of Rashford, Martial, Sanchez (Or Lingard if he's back). That's my preferred front 3.
Although as I stated a few posts ago, it won't make a difference to our current situation because of the playing style and the worsening atmosphere surrounding the current manager and the club.

Started the season well so don't understand why he wants to go so defensive when you have those two players available.

Honestly thought both Sanchez and Pogba offered better cutting edge than Rashford. He looked more active but he final ball was non-existant. Even the free kick everyone was raving about didn't even hit the target. Rashford's best moment of the night he botched by running offside when he should have made his run behind the defender to in front - but he didn't get away from the man anyway. Didn't even gve him self the chance to.

Didn't even gve him self the chance to. I thought he looked by far the most likely to get the goal last night, had 2 of the best efforts of the game (for us). Definitely lacking end product, no doubt about that but I honestly think the way he played last night, despite lacking end product was better than what we've seen from other attackers recently.
Sanchez had one of his better games in a while for us, which really is damning with faint praise because he's been beyond gash since he arrived. He looked to be massively short on confidence. Had a couple of chances to take an early shot in a good area and chose to pass both times. He smashes one of those into the net and I'd have even labelled his performance as 'good' but ultimately he didn't which meant he also lacked end product.
Didn't think Pogba did a whole lot to be honest in terms of the attacking end of the pitch. Besides throwing himself to the floor a few times and dithering on the ball in the attacking 3rd resulting in him losing possession. Did he have a long(ish) range effort tipped over the bar as well? Really can't remember.
Ultimately, we were distinctly average in every area of the pitch. I said before the game that it was getting to such a shitty stage that I'm just looking for players to show a bit of commitment, desire and energy. You know, the kind of shit that fans and the manager asks of relegation fodder. Think Warnock at Cardiff.
I saw all 3 from Rashford (Sanchez as well in fairness) last night, which is something compared to most of the shit we see now.
Please kill me now.
