That the working class South American travels to a neutral ground somewhere in the middle of the Atacama desert when he can barely pay his bills and eat whilst living with little dignity? Especially when it’s costlier to travel around South America than it is inside of Europe? Time for some to learn that not everywhere is the same. Football still belongs to the working class in Argentina and economically, it’s a boom for the cities involved to receive a final. It’s revenue for the clubs, for their cities, for the fans who get to see their team... for the locals in general. In this case for Buenos Aires only, but it usually works both ways. |

Anyways - atmosphere for this must be intense. I went to a Boca-River in 2015 at La Bombonera, also a Libertadores clash and it was intense.
Shame that it only happened because of CONMEBOL’s habit of benefitting Argies but you can’t have it all.
Also weird to have a Libertadores final on a Saturday. Must be the first one in history.

Anyways - atmosphere for this must be intense. I went to a Boca-River in 2015 at La Bombonera, also a Libertadores clash and it was intense. Shame that it only happened because of CONMEBOL’s habit of benefitting Argies but you can’t have it all. Also weird to have a Libertadores final on a Saturday. Must be the first one in history.
