Pretty much every cover song sucks. With the exceptions of Johnny Cash - Hurt and Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower Those two are up with the best but the rest of that is just wrong. Jimi's version is the real version as far as I'm concerned. Dylan said something similar after hearing it

Pretty much every cover song sucks. With the exceptions of Johnny Cash - Hurt and Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower Open your ears and don't judge a song by it's cover! XTC's version of All Along the Watchtower is pretty awesome. Redemption song by Johnny Cash and Joe Strummer's is a great version. Higher Ground by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers isn't too shabby. "Pin Ups" by Bowie contains some outstanding covered tracks. Ditto "These Foolish Things" by Bryan Ferry. Ditto "Covers" by Placebo. Ditto "Revamp and Restoration" by various artists (reinterpretation of Elton John's songs). PS Sorry, couldn't work out how to apply bullet points!

Running up that hill by Placebo is a great take on the original. In fact I like it much more than Kate Bush.

I can't remember if I posted this in the music thread. Excellent tribute to Bowie.
Also, what's the problem with having chillies on a breakfast sandwich? Everyone thinks I'm a weird fucker for doing it.

Potentially unpopular Drogba opinion: he was brilliant in big games, and had a couple of fantastic seasons, but he also had a lot of average patches for Chelsea that get swept under the rug. And another... he was a thug and a simulating cheating cunt who represents the start of an era of financial doping in football

Narcos is my favourite drug/mob boss themed show or movie. The real stories are far more interesting. Don't care for most of the rest of them. Men fawn over average crime shows because they like seeing shows about men who don't have to answer to anyone.

I would have Drogba here as a coach in a heartbeat. I'd have him starting ahead of Lukaku.
