Lingard gave his all in the first half. Our only shot on target, followed by a good cross to Martial. Two Palace bookings for fouls on Lingard who never stopped running and pressing their back four. Then he (and the invisible Mata) is thefirst to be taken off. Why on earth not Bring on Rashford for Lukaku and play Martial in the middle?
Pogba was pretty poor, but chasing a win against dross at home o you really take him off and leave Matic to wander around the place?
Darmian starts ahead of Valencia? I hear Dalot was half decent for the Porto U-21, so him too would be a better choice.
Fred? Perreira?
Fuck the Glazers and their team selection

We have to go full Renter. We act now, we get the new manager bounce. We then spend some serious dosh in January, Skinaar and a RW, I’d go all in for Zaha (who I’ve always rated, not jumping on today.) We get a shot at the champions league knock outs and could make top 4. Otherwise, we’re going down the toilet. Nothing is changing. I like Jose and wanted it to work. It hasn’t. He should have been the choice in 2013 but Fergie allowed his ego to make a catastrophic mistake. Which should have been ignored by the board anyway. They aren't going to act now though. If they weren't happy with the manager he should have been dismissed in the summer. They gambled on spending less in the summer, he got the hump and here we are. Regardless of our underperformance we still have so many players not good enough which stretches over 4 managerial appointments. 3 scenarios. 1. We have a few seasons of no CL, revenue goes down and they decide to sell up and cash in. 2. They get a DOF, actually start planning on the football side of the business, things look more positive. 3. We continue the cycle of hiring and firing with the odd cup chucked in for good measure. Which road do they go down? 1. They’re not selling unless a monumental offer from the Saudis comes in. 2. Ed’s ego won’t allow it. 3. So presumably you think we should stick with Jose? Admirable though it might be, in his 3rd year we’re regressing. There is virtually nothing to suggest sticking with him will produce anything different. In which case you have to take a chance on new ideas.

He's as inconsistent and poor as the rest. Granted he did well when he came on today but he's shown me nothing that suggests he'll be the sort of top player we need. Got the ability clearly and I Hope he proves me wrong but I don't see enough yet. Him and Jesse look great for England

I genuinely think the only way to get rid of this guy is if a mutiny kicks off with the fans within the stadium, especially at Old Trafford. Could sense something at full time today but it seems some are unsure to follow suit. Don't think it's far off with dogshite performances like that. Jose can line up as many excuses as he wants but the United support could jettison him. It doesn't matter what happens it's all down to the maths. I keep hearing about all the money we have spent but it's clear that 3 failing managers are being allowed to see out the season no matter how bad it gets. That smacks of penny pinching, nothing to do with giving a chance to your manager to redeem himself.

Especially as a young kid who is played as a sub anywher across the front three randomly. He played wellwhen he came on today. Scored a winner at Bournemouth, played as assist at Chelsea, plays well for England and would be a starter under any other manager. But then, Lukaku and Sanchez are ahead of him in the pecking order.

I would like to see what this squad could do with a good manager.

The majority would be shipped out. Valencia, Darmian and Lingard shouldn't be starting games. They simply aren't good enough.

It is, however when you get your chances you have to take them. Which he has a bad habit of not doing. I like the lad but he needs to up his game.

These kind of comments are the most worrying from him. We may have been lacking heart but the players have shown in recent months that they certainly have heart with some of the comebacks and performances. He must be able to see an issue with the quality of our slow, labouring football.
It's incredibly short-sighted to suggest that a lack of heart was the worst thing about our display.

You’re laying everything at the feet of the Glazers again and giving Jose a free pass. He doesn’t deserve one.

Rashford is one of the very least of our problems.

Rashford wouldn't start for City, Pool, Chelsea or Spurs imo. Yeah, I know. But then you’d get rid of both him and Lingard who apparently doesn’t score enough. For some odd reason you underestimate their contribution and potential. I think we are lucky to have such talented young players coming through the ranks
