Poch is still on the list. Both Sarri and Emery would have been seen as legitimate options worthy of consideration before their moves to rivals. Now there was an element of luck in the 2nd half of the Spurs game but Ole has out-thought all 3 of them tactically. And two of those fixtures, Spurs and Chelsea, we’ve had our arses handed to us frequently in recent years. In fact, his tactics have been spot on in nearly every one of the games he’s been manager, bar PSG and Burnley. And PSG had the benefit of two very important players going off at HT after an even first half. With Burnley he made too many changes (though he was right to do so at first) not realizing the gap between first team regulars and the squad.
To be honest, I don’t see what more the guy could be doing to get the gig. And this is with a flawed, if talented squad.

Best thing about this is this was going pretty much for the entire game. No real point in saying how good our away support is anymore because its fantastic everytime and there simply isn't any like it. Just a shame the same.cant be done at home, if we could replicate half of this at home the place would be rocking.

We haven't seen this much commitment and desire from the players, positivity from a manager and the overall belief since Fergie retired and he's only been in charge for 13 games. Its not just the result either, its the body language and the much improved performances of ewch of the players. Id still leave the deciding the job until the end of the season but if Ole keeps going like this and doesn't get it then its a travesty.

I think the PSG game showed that we don’t have the quality outside of our first 11 which came back to bite us. I feel we are where Pool were a couple of seasons ago. We know where we need to strengthen to really push on for a title bid never mind the CL. It doesn’t matter who is boss if we don’t address those weaknesses. My worry is the gimps will see this as a reason to scrimp and make do rather than do what should have happened after we got 2nd last season. They know full well they wouldn’t get away with fobbing off a new manager who they have scouted. Let’s hope the penny has dropped with them.
