Feel like every week there’s a bullshit rumour that he’s back in training. Is there anything to actually officially say we’re allowing him back or is it just a bunch of 14 year old football Twitter doyles flapping about it again?
Hope the cunt never plays for us again.

There is zero evidence anywhere that this rumour is true by the way. Yeah. That was the first thing even I thought to ask. Would be good if people post details of sources rather than random sentences….

Juventus apparently interested. Now that the charges have been dropped, I'd personally have him back purely on footballing grounds. The only reason it hasn't happened is down to potential public backlash and commercial damage.

Right, this is unlocked.
Be careful with what you say from a legal pov. Seriously.
Thanks.

Charges dropped, him and woman are apparently still together.... United need to make a decision and stand on it. They are going to get blow back regardless of what they choose.... I just hope he actually learned from this situation and takes steps to address it. I don't if he plays for us, well sell him, or loan him out. I care more about him growing from it.

Factual information that is generally not understood: Utd could dismiss Greenwood for gross misconduct (yes, in spite of the incident being nothing to do with football) on the grounds that his conduct was incompatible with the club's reasonable expectations; and they could dismiss him for a breach of the implied term of trust and confidence. He could appeal such a dismissal, and if he lost that appeal he could go to the Employment Tribunal.
They're obviously not going to do this, because no investigation needed to take longer than a couple of days and they could and should have started their investigation the day after the CPS dropped the prosecution.
So when the decision is revealed, it will mean that the CEO has decided that violent sexual assault is something that is compatible with the club's standards.
Making the opposite decision (dismissing him) has nothing whatsoever to do with not giving him second chances, not believing in rehabilitation and so on. He deserves the same opportunity everyone does to learn and reform. Utd should wish him well in trying to achieve that, somewhere else.

I think Mason should call a press conference as soon as he’s able ,apologise for all of his violent, coercive and unconscionable behaviour towards Harriet, his girlfriend-and now mother of his child-apologise for the disrepute he’s brought upon his club, leave it there and then hope that another club comes in for him-loan,sake,whatever! Unfortunately he cannot rehabilitate himself here, although I wouldn’t put it past those gimps to try and find an angle somewhere, he’s still an ‘asset’ after all, however tarnished! I’m just sad that from a footballing POV we’ve really lost a generational talent, but the club surely can’t not look at him that way?

He will return and go out on loan. That’s the right decision rather than destroying a young person’s career and cancelling them outright.

If done now it's just PR to save his place at the club and isn't being done for the right reasons. It's best for all parties if he moves on elsewhere. The reception he'll get won't be a nice one even from the home fans and you can't blame them. Unfortunately we'll have lost a talented player but I'd take morals and basic human decency over any talent. You just can't condone it and allowing him back sends the wrong message to not only people within the club but also youngsters supporting the club. They just need to hurry up and make a decision. It's becoming increasingly annoying especially on twitter where its rife with sympathisers.

The club's handling of this situation has been terrible. Charges were dropped in February & here we are the first day of the new season & none the wiser. What are they "investigating" that takes 6 months? Personally I'd have had him back training & playing last season, he'd also have a full preseason under him & be ready to help the team this season. But even if you take the opposite view that we should get rid of him that should have happened sooner also, who'd buy him at this point? Hasn't kicked a ball in 18 months & has missed hugely vital development time. The handling of this has been awful by the club, make a decision & stick to it.

Glazer spawn and their minion brains trust still here.
