I posted this a week ago or so in another thread, but this archetypal character we now employ: The club have created an environment where unmotivated players are rewarded. Their obsession with not moving players on who haven’t delivered due to not wanting to replace them has created a rotten culture within the team. City had that problem, when they started building under the UAE. Then they hired some proper people with a plan and changed it Woodward has spent 6 years trying to figure out what his vision or plan is. This is effectively his 4th manager and his 3rd rebuild I bet the window will be mediocre again and half the dross will still be hanging around next year! The thing is most of these football Club CEO's are riding the crest of a mega wave of investment and riches. It doesn't take a lot of vision to cash in on it. It does take some vision and expertise to have a vision for the football team and it takes a really good coach to do it. City have had the best vision, but it took Guardiola to get them to this level. The Dippers and Spurs got lucky with managers, that would have been perfect for us and we could have had with a better CEO. It's really annoying looking at dozens of mediocre players overpaid and sitting on their arses half the time, with poor attitudes because we were never like that in the past, despite being a wealthy club.. Woodward created that in 6 years

A DOF to a Sporting Director/Technical Director to a Transfer committee and more recently the current DOF at Norwich. They look like they haven’t got any kind of strategy similar to how they appoint managers.

Any NFL followers offer an opinion on how the Bucs back of house operate?

Any NFL followers offer an opinion on how the Bucs back of house operate? Very, very, very badly.

Any NFL followers offer an opinion on how the Bucs back of house operate? They aren't the biggest laughing stock in the NFL, but they are pretty close. When the Glazers took over they demanded the city build them a new stadium (they did) and it is pretty sweet. They had an initial run at being a decent team and even won a superbowl in 2002, but it has pretty much been all downhill since around 07/08. They havent made it to the playoffs in 11 or 12 seasons and have been putting down incredibly poor numbers for at least 8 of those seasons. Their general manager Licht is shit and the fan base cannot believe he has managed to maintain his job in the 5 seasons hes been appointed. Each season has been dysfunctional at best. They sacked their head coach at end of season but the fans were hoping for Lichts head. His press conference at the end of the season he literally couldn't believe he wasnt fired. It was bizarre. They still sell roughly 80% of tickets per game, which is phenomenal considering how poor they are on the field. There was a bit of optimism with the new head coach but then they lost a bunch of good players in the offseason. Looks likely to be another tough few years in Tampa.

Jesus, that sounds eerily similiar to our situation. 😠

Soriano and Begiristain came in 2012? in 7 years they have won 4 premier league titles from nothing, while Woodward has turned us into a shit show in 6 years

The only teams that are more poorly run are the Raiders and the Jets. And even they have shown signs of life recently. (Recent) historically bad teams like the Browns have used all the benefits the NFL give poor sides and turned it around, like the Rams. The Bucs? Nothing. They are an absolute train wreck and will continue to be for years to come bar something unforeseen.

Since 2000 the Bucs ranked joint 28th in the NFL for wins. Out of 32 teams. I’d expect the Bills and Redskins to go past them in the next year or two, as they’ve sorted the QB position. So you should be looking at the 30th ranked team in the NFL.
Which is utterly embarrassing. They may have made serious cash in the real estate market but when it comes to sport a rock would do just a good a job it would seem.

The Jags are kind of the class clowns, they had that crazy year when Bortles remembered how to pass and they were outstanding until the playoffs. Crazy how the Browns are in an altogether different world now.

The Browns, the Rams, (my team Denver were 4-12 and went to 2 SuperBowls) the Bears, the whole league is built on the idea of a disaster of a side being able to turn things around and quickly. Not being able to do it speaks volumes. You mentioned the Jags. They were a tipped pass away from beating the Patriots in the Championship. They now have Foles and should come back. With one significant move. The Bucs try but never seem to hit in free agency. They over pay for big names that are poor fits, that look good on paper but rarely work. Sound familiar?

Foles on the other hand has probably one of my favourite stories in any sport. Would love to see him smash it this year.
