Indivually they have a shit midfield. None of their midfielders are bursting with ability. They have the right players who work in the system though. Which is what we should be looking to do. We need a well functioning team, not a team full of inviduals. They're on 94 points. IMO , Their midfield is the second best in England, because they have got 94 points as a team in an entire season. We've got to stop saying "individually they are shit" , because it doesn't matter what midfielders do individually, they need to perform as a team. I'd even argue, that based on the output given by those 3 midfielders , that Klopp is the best coach in the league. He's taken a bunch of mid level players and his system has elevated them to this level. That's elite coaching. I'm also fucking sure , that if it wasn't Ed who met Klopp, he'd be our manager. There's no disagreement here. This is exactly my point.

Oh how United has fallen. The team could have made CL if this lot had tried. I cant stand the sight of the smug Woodward sitting in the stands. One bad move after another, soon he will ruin the cash cow he worships. More and more people over here in the U.S. are wearing City and various other jerseys. The advertisers will follow winning teams,not this dross.

Most midfields bar Barcelona look average individually but thats not the point. Under fergie near the end we were never done complaining about midfield but it didnt matter because we were a team unlike this self serving lot. Like you say, footballs a team sport, we seemed to have forgot that? |

The only saving grace in terms of us becoming a good, competitive top 4 side (not the ultimate goal but a step in progression) at the minute is that fact that bar Liverpool and City, the rest are absolutely woeful. I don't see anyone challenging those 2 next season. Hell, wouldn't surprise me if the scouse drop off a bit and City bog it. Liverpool have a shit midfield. To think they may only need to replace one or two players to be a hell of a team makes me ill. I know what you mean .. I share your feeling of nausea / illness / pain |

Immediately after my final post on this thread earlier, the following happened-
We’re staying in our friends house for the weekend, they live near a farm. They have two lovely but incredibly energetic dogs and the local kennel was full, so we offered to mind them. Said dogs escaped out the front door. I dove and caught one on the steps, but cracked my ribs. Tried to catch the other as it chased the sheep in a field. Eventually I grabbed it as it tired, but banged my head and nose on the ground while doing so. I returned to the house coughing in agony, covered in sheep shit, blood and muck.
Better than the 2nd half of that game tho.
