Mata doing pretty well so far in dropping into pockets of space. Nice change to the usual headless chicken who runs round and not a lot else.

Did Ole see Periera’s cross vs Chelsea and say ‘fuck it, he’ll do a job on the right’? Periera claimed himself during pre season that he can play on the right in a Beckham-esque capacity. Remains to be seen. He’s certainly only been average centrally previously. |

James is going to get better and harder to defend against. He's got multiple sides to his game. Can't just take you on and annihilate you with pace but if you give him too much room he's got a lethal strike on him. What do you do with him?

Playing well but Southampton are allowing us to with the way they play. Nothing like the Palace test last week, so much room in their half of the pitch.
