Well if anyone misses complaining about Lukaku’s touch you can just direct your frustration towards Chong. I’m surprised at how poorly he’s performed in his appearances thus far. Chong might improve, and we didn't pay 90 million pounds for him (or whatever we spent on Lukaku). As has been said, though, Chong doesn't look ready for the first team. EDIT: a lot of them in this side don't look ready! |

Chong off, James on. We've upped the tempo the past 8 or 9 minutes, had a couple of chances, one wide from Greenwood, another wide from Lingard. At least (?) we are shooting now instead of just passing it among the back 4. Watching this match it is tough to see what our style or game plan is. Pereira gets the ball a lot on the left side of their box, does a bunch of stopovers and passes then goes inside - only to not get the ball in return. Pogba looks rusty as fuck. Williams is at least unafraid of getting forward. Clutching at straws here.
EDIT: and James' first involvement sets up Greenwood, who has another shot saved.

Why in fuck didn't AWB attack that cross? He just watched it drop, then waited until after the Rochdale player chested it down and crossed it before getting tight. Fucking lazy. Nice finish from the 16 year old right back. Making us look like fucking chumps.
