I don't think he's suited to this level, whether that's EL or PL, he looks out of his depth. This is his 30th match for United, btw, not sure how many more before the jury comes back in. James Garner is waiting in the wings, and at 18 is better than Fred, at 26. Yet he was excellent for Shahktar in the European Cup. Hmm. He was also excellent against PSG when he had McTominay and Pereira alongside him rather than fucking Matic. |

Stop with the easy passes out to the fullbacks and actually try to be inventive with some through balls or short passes around the box. Its all too readable, you know exactly whats going to happen 20 seconds before it does.

the fred issue is just getting so incredibly boring in here. usually the same people complaining time and again about fred. i think we all know it by now. he has not been good enough and a huge disappointment so far. he should get more consecutive games under his belt to actually see for once how he performs when given a proper run. whether he`ll step up to it remains to be seen and rightly doubted. but whats the fucking point of repeating the same stuff all over? OK let's put a moratorium on the same comments about Matic, Mata, Pogba, Lingard, Young, and every single other player in the squad who isn't performing? Or just realize that every player gets criticized, some more justly than others, and fucking move on with your life and don't read the posts that might trigger you? The Fred comments are *because* people like you and Paul keep saying "give him more time", they aren't coming out of the blue. Do we have better options than Fred? I'd say yes, and his name is Garner. You ignore that and you can ignore how Fred sucks balls and has only had one good game for us, but that's your right. |

Its getting tedious as fuck to her honest. The guy hasn't played enough to be completely written off by some. He's far from the finished article but the shit he's getting is ridiculous, give him a chance ffs. None of them have been impressive, they've all been equally as poor. thing is, when we`re shit which we`ve been for many years now, people always tend to search for a valve to let their frustrations out. and that usually is the manager or certain players, its never all of them together. frustrations so often builds towards a particular area or individual, even if more are to blame. thats just the way it is i guess |

How is Garner a better option when he has barely played for the first team? Why because he's played well for the u23's? In that case promote all of them. Fred is struggling for consistency because he's not played enough to gain any. Pogba has bene here 4 years, Lingard, Matic, Mata and even Young have had years in a united shirt and have only been slated because their ability has slumped or have had more than enough time to show their good enough and they haven't failed to do so. Im just willing to give a player time where's plenty aren't interested, seemingly like yourself. |

Also, I mean, we have zero urgency, none. I’m totally unable to define us as a team. Counter attacking? Containing teams? God knows. I mean I’d love to know what Ole, Mike Phelan and McKenna are doing with these guys in training. |

To sum up: I'm not going on the Fred thread and saying I hate Fred; I'm watching Fred suck and commenting that he's sucking while he's sucking, commenting on the actual match in the actual match thread - and then the announcer says the same thing, and I put that in to show it's not just me, friends. Everything in here is repetitive. I'm sure each of us could build a profile of each regular poster based on their past likes and dislikes. So I put it to you again: if you know that you've got a sensitive nerve for a player, just accept that and move on. It's like I don't bother my spirited defense of Mata every game because I know the group mind is made up on that score. |

Bigger and better players have come to this club and this league and not performed, with the team as bad as it is now we need players to step up and fred isn't doing that along with plenty others, we can't keep saying these guys need time when we are in this state, we need these players to actually step up. It just isn't good enough
