But he isn't playing in every game 🤔 Regardless the lad deserves more games time. There's no more risk playing him more than going out and spending whatever we have to get Haaland. This way we can focus on spending funds in more problematic areas i.e No.10 or a play making central mid. No but everybody keeps asking for him to play all the time and all that will happen is people will start to expect too much from him and then jump on his back when he has a bad patch, he will get plenty of opportunity at this club, and I think we should be careful with his gametime. True. Agree with the fact that his game time should be limited. Should be trusting the younger players to come through now and take over now. As gutted as I will to see him call time on his united career I would be surprised if he's here last the summer.

Ole is managing Greenwood really well. If he keeps going like he is then next season he could well be our starting forward. Martial is talented but seems to be a little lacking mentally. With Greenwood & a new AM we will be able to unlock tight defences as well as countering with James & Rashford.

It's very tempting to throw him in but he is only 18, so for that reason I agree with you, it makes total sense to play him in the Europa League and give him cameos from time to time. For me even next season is too early for a starting place. If anything hopefully his form will give the other forwards the kick they need because there is nothing like competition to remove the complacency in players like Martial. Rashford and Martial have alot of qualities but ice cold composure in and around the box is something they don't really have, Greenwood seems to have an eternity around the box.

I don’t think the initial plan was to start James every game either but he has done.

He's got the van persie's about him. You cannot coach that.

We regularly played 18 year old Rooney and Ronaldo. Same with Rashford. “If you’re good enough, you’re old enough”, as someone famous used to say. Mason deserves to start every week based on form.

Rooney was world class at that age, he was the best player at the Euros the year we bought him, not exactly the same situation plus he had been playing in the premier league for 2 years at Everton. With Rashford we had no choice, he almost instantly became a number one pick due to a lack of options or injuries, to his credit he took his chance.

I’d be starting Greenwood at the weekend instead of martial Nah, instead of Lingard or Pereria. Not sure Martial deserves to sit in the dog house just yet.

It’s helped Rashford’a development and I’m sure it will help Mason’s as well.

Rooney was also as strong as an Ox at that age too. Physically Mason is slight in relative terms. He needs a bit more time to develop. Look at the difference between Rashford now and when he made his debut.

Pereira didn't start last 2 games and Greenwood doesn't play CAM so unless you want to start changing formation he would have to replace martial.
