Great result, average performance.
Chelsea will be spewing but considering the decisions they've had in this fixture over the Roman years, we were bloody due some luck.
Fernandes looks like one of those "remind me, why the fuck didn't we sign this bloke earlier?" signings, there was a decent article in The Guardian on him, talking about midfielders who want the ball, and that we don't have enough of those; Fernandes absolutely wants the ball at all times.
13 goals for Martial, pretty much 1 in 2, and only 2 goals away from his best ever Premier League return, yet he still looks like he can't be arsed. If he could actually get out of 2nd gear and put real effort in for 90 minutes God knows how many he could get.
Fred is a God send, his improvement has been outstanding and he's pretty much MOTM every week now, Matic looks like the Matic of old as well, maybe the long rest has done him the world of good.
The next few weeks are absolutely massive, Everton and Spurs away, City at OT, and Bruges in the Europa League. If we can come through that in a good place, then the run in really should be (fucking should be) a cake walk to top 4 (Sheff Utd, Brighton, Bournemouth, Southampton, Palace, Villa, West Ham). If we can't take enough points from those games then we don't deserve anything anyway.

Win, 2 goals, clean sheet, shitty ref/VAR decisions going our way at this hellhole stadium where we've gotten fuckall, Bruno and Fred playing well. A very good day !

Shaw has performed best at the left of a back 3.

Well, that did not suck!! Kinda strange going to that house of horrors and getting decisions in our favour. Also, were I Pogba sat there watching today, I’d be concerned my value was going to plummet by the week. Bruno and Fred looked like an actual midfield pairing. Throw Mc Sauce into the mix and Pogba becomes surplus to requirements. Yeah I was thinking, the midfielder I’d really like to see back at the moment is Scotty, not Pogba. Crazy how Matic has found new life as well. Think we need a younger holding mid but Matic certainly has a place in this squad on recent form. I think Matic as a squad player makes a lot of sense (experienced player in a young squad, won the league before), I don’t think he is okay with not playing most games though.

Swings and roundabouts on the decisions yes they went our way last night but we`ve had times when we`ve been robbed down there, fuck em.

Wonder if this thread will be graced by a certain person..... Ed Woodward? Well howdy! Thanks for the mention. I had the IT guys here at OT setup a bot to search for mentions of my name on the Interweb. Gosh, I really am popular on here,so many mentions of my name. I'm flattered. How are we all doing after yesterday's brilliant soccerball road victory over the London Blues? Sorry, I appear to have picked up quite a bit of American slang from Joel & Avi. They are brilliant fun guys.

The Rents seem to have very short memories. Luiz got away with about 15 different versions of what Maguire did over the years.
BTW, H has had his two best games for Utd in quick succession, last night and City in the Cup. The fee was preposterous but at least now he’s looking like a very good premier league defender. And I liked him with Bailly last night. Both are aggressive and like to play on the front foot. You might need to accept the odd brain fart from Bailly as the rest of his game has a lot going for it.

If they'd had a proper centre forward and not the Belgian Welbeck, we'd have been well beaten.

It's good to see Bailly back, even just to give Lindelof and co a fight for their places (if he stays fit, obv). Always worried he is going to do something stupid though. But he had a solid game last night.

If they'd had a proper centre forward and not the Belgian Welbeck, we'd have been well beaten. if we had Rashford fit ..... really hope Axel can get fit and push on asap. Maguire alongside Bailly is so much better as they compliment each other, but Axel has a higher ceiling than Bailly. do hope the mad man can stay fit as he could still offer something and he could actually progress playing with someone that's going to direct him all game

If only we had a Matic who was in his prime... he's playing well but he can't sustain it, we have to prioritise getting a world class DM in the summer IMO.
