I'm sorry but they should have to stay put.
If the world had just shut down all flights and travel from China as soon as this started then this might have been contained quicker.
There has been no mention of these being repatriation flights. They are supposedly standard flights with no checks being made on anyone arriving at airports, let alone the people being quarantined after arrival.

Someone posted a graph on twitter from the Financial Times. Italy and Spain look like they could be about to plateau, Ireland is close to the same, too early to tell for the UK but America is like a bloody rocket being shot straight up into the sky.

Watching Trump last night, it's not surprising. He was talking about having church services next Sunday. Then he went on to mention two drugs which 'may' be a cure. One is the anti malaria drug I think. He was pushing them quite hard as well... Must be a massive empty brown envelope somewhere...

The US is increasing by the hour. It is scary as fuck.

I was reading the other day that we took four flights in from New York, no tests were carried out and the folks coming back were left to just craic on as normal. That’s a worry, when you consider the way it is in New York. It was causing people to ponder whether we’re still doing “herd immunity” under the guise of lockdown.
How’s it been where you folks are in terms of people being outside?
I live in a huge sort of suburban area in the North East (this has all happened right as I was buying a house elsewhere), and I’ve never seen more people outside here as I have in the last two weeks. And I’m not exaggerating. People who won’t have seen exercise/sunlight in a decade are now keen runners and walkers. It’s genuinely ridiculous. Kids are playing out as normal as well.
It’s all fairly well to do people here as well, nobody is on the breadline. These people would be seen as more “intelligent” than people who live on, for instance, the council estate where I’m originally from. But my ma’ still lives there, and there’s hardly a soul outside. They’re observing it correctly. Meanwhile these faux middle-class cunts here are spoiling it for everyone.

My mate lives two doors up and is building an outdoor bar in his garden. Shouted across before, dude, come for a few beers. I think I'll nope that.

As i said last week i'm considered an essential worker - so i am now walking back and forth to work every day Mon - Fri (about 20- 30 mins walk my job is relatively close by my house) - i'm leaving my house about 7am and there's a lot of joggers who look like they've been out since the crack of dawn - so i'm trying literally to avoid / dodge them while walking on the pavement every morning. Regarding the kids playing, kind of don't have a real issue with it if it's relatively brief but it's generally not. You couldn't make it up. My house is quite prominent on my road and one of my direct neighbours lives in a bungalow (behind my house by about 50 yards) - there's a small green area (kind of at the side of my house/ in front of the bungalow) - as i said don't have a real issue with older kids playing for a short period but my neighbour's daughter has driven her two to four older kids up to the bungalow - and they're outside all day - football smashing about the place/ screaming etc for literally hours. I've seen other neighbours walking past looking over with distain and wondering whether to say something or not. How does un-supervised older children outside all day - translate into social distancing?? As i said, i'm not a total cunt - in that i'll never not let older children play at the side of my house - but at least have some degree of adhering to the general rules. I can see this escalating with the weather improving but there seems to be an element of other neighbours or the police stepping in to address it.

Boris just moved to intensive care. May not agree with him politically but I hope he pulls through both for the country and his family.

As for Peps mother, that's sad aswell. So many people not putting rivalry aside for shit like this is pathetic.
