We’re letting flights in to Dublin from America with not a care in the world. Not a chance the tourists are self-isolating for 2 weeks. Shambles. I was chatting to my cousin yesterday, she works at Dublin Airport. Basically confirmed what you are saying Stewart. Nobody is checking if people are isolating and the government are getting very pissed off that its being largely ignored. Govt have no right to be pissed off. Its them that have set very flimsy, unenforced rules. the cunts.

Saying the UK should wear masks in shops now is what I would class as - odd. Odd in its timing.

I've ordered a couple of washable ones but I have a few disposable ones too. If I could sew then I'd make them

Its not that odd when you look at the numbers of cases in the states continuing to rise and they reopened before we did. I think the reality is our world governments and our top medical advisors etc have realised that we; 1. Don't fully understand this Virus yet and its beginning to do things that have taken many experts by surprise 2. We are a long way away from a vaccine 3. Bracing ourselves for an inevitable 2nd wave 4. Are in danger of losing control of it if we don't start taking it precautions

I’ve now got some suitable IT (in the form of a tricked-up Surface Pro 7) which will allow me to work from home, this after only almost 5 months, but at least I can support my colleagues in the office, although that said, I cannot see myself returning there anytime soon, unless there’s either an effective vaccine, or therapy. My (UK Civil Service) Department are now asking if employees would prefer either to work from home ,in the office, or a mixture of the two. Utterly fucked up. BTW on a related subject, has anyone booked a European holiday this year?

Did anyone see that muppet Matt Hancock’s response when questioned as to “how many people had been checked that they’ve been observing the rules whilst they’ve been in quarantine”, “ I don’t know the answer to that question” “How many people do you have making these checks?” Same answer. Hapless cunt.

No chance now.

Booked a holiday in Spain for early October but cancelled as my wife was advised by her oncologist not to fly this year at the very least...now going to Northumberland!!
