Went to ASDA by my house on friday and everyone but one person was wearing a mask correctly, went to ASDA by my work today and I was honestly shocked at the amount of smooth brains that didnt even have a mask for the last 2-3 weeks we have to wear masks in public transport here in switzerland. they didnt demand us to wear them in supermarkets yet but PT is a must more or less. during this time i have seen maybe about 10 people without one and the usual smart ones wearing them the wrong way or just letting it hang from an ear like a fucking earring. but i would say 90% of all people stick to the guidelines which is very impressive. that said, despite all the bad aspects about this country, this is something you probably would expect from the swiss, discipline

Whether you agree with the science or not is it so hard to find a reason not to wear a mask ?
There are far more annoying issues to deal with during this pandemic than sticking one of them on when you enter enclosed public spaces.

Landlady of the local pub just tested positive. My friends were in there for the Leicester game as well. Fucking crazy.

I think is something we will have to live with for a long time tbh, the actual death rate is extremely low, but obviously for people at risk it must be extremely worrying,I know fit and healthy people have died with this too and been very ill, but if a vaccine doesn't work we will have to live with it and I guess the social distancing masks, ect will just become the new norm.

No way masks and distancing become the norm. We'd live with it by taking the risk after about 2022. Even people who fully abide by social distancing and masks (including myself) hate it, absolutely no chance IMO it stays beyond a couple of years.
Won't happen anyway - hopefully we get a vaccine, but even if not we're definitely developing treatments to help people with it.

Just had to have a test earlier. A family member was potentially exposed to the virus. Touching your tonsils with that swab is not very pleasant! I did nearly upchuck!

Covid related but also related to the wider world as well.
Video footage came out over here of some young lass not wearing a face mask with a policeman grabbing her by the throat, whilst someone filming it is shouting "This just for not wearing a mask?! This is a disgrace!".
Fuck off you obnoxious cunts. No. This isn't "Just for not wearing a mask" you arrogant wanker.
What happened was the government passed a law that face masks are now mandatory unless you can provide evidence of a medical exemption. The police have to enforce that law. That's literally their job. They saw you without a mask so stopped you and asked why you weren't wearing one. You refused to answer, refused to give evidence and tried to just walk away. The police tried to stop you so you got violent and lashed out, to protect themselves and stop you from continuing the violence, they grabbed you by the throat and threw you on the ground.
What didn't happen is the police saw you without a mask on, ran over, grabbed you and assaulted you.
So no, This isn't "For not wearing a mask", it's for being an arrogant piece of shit who thinks laws don't apply to them and for assaulting a police officer.
You see this all the time, someone breaks a minor law (or is accused of breaking one), thinks the police have no right to stop them or ask them questions and tries to just walk away, then gets violent when the police stop them. Meanwhile muppets filming scream about police brutality and that this is all over a broken tail light, stolen bar of chocolate or whatever.
Just answer the police's questions and this won't happen, cunts!

I’m having one again tomorrow on my day off. Fucking amateurs at work clearly forgot even though I worked Saturday to Monday last that I hadn’t been retested. I didn’t even know they were doing them again yet. I thought they were on hold until they sorted out the not fit for purpose batch.

That fucking bell-end on the news in Melbourne that was trying to campaign for human rights against masks crying "I am Aussie, I have right to speech" boiled my blood. You have the right to free speech buddy because you came to live in a liberal country, you don't have the right to break the law and endanger others and the police who were only doing their job. Then to start screaming that his son was with him when they led him away, great parenting that, taking a kid along to an illegal rally!

Might rebel against another lockdown though. Liverpool have more cases than Wigan but they can mix households while we are lumped in with towns who really do have problems and we can’t.

Good luck with the increased Covid restrictions working on Uni Campus’s, Channel 4 news in UK have just showed a report from Nottingham with students being unceremoniously chucked out of bars at 10:00pm, most armed with bottles of Vodka etc to take back to their respective halls to carry on where they left off-the Uni’s have NO chance unless they chain them up in individual cells , it must be worse than herding cats! Freshers happens only once-and at least they’re all in a similar age group, so shouldn’t (hopefully) infect anyone else, but this is the risk the government must’ve been aware of when they decided to open education on all levels!
