Piers Morgan may be a prick but it was fun watching him absolutely shred that cunt Hancock on TV. What an unbearable fucking piece of shit he is. Absolutely no contrition or regret whatsoever. Another moron borne out of this clusterfuck of a government. Yeah, I find him the most loathsome of the bunch, which is a hell of an accolade considering the sheer volume of cunts in this government. The fake crying incident sealed it for me. Hate Piers Morgan too but it's not the first time he's made one of them look a twat in the last 12 months. Isn't it? I feel disgusting saying it, but Morgan has been among the few people taking this bunch of wankers to task, which makes him a good guy...? Brb washing my mouth out with industrial solvent

Definitely jumped up one spot off that bottom rung of the ladder of human beings, maybe two spots!

Probably a better description. Anybody see James Acaster on The Last Leg telling Lorraine Kelly to go fuck herself for suggesting Piers Morgan was one of the heroes of 2020? In essence he said you don't get to be alright for a small period and become a hero after a lifetime of villainy. Nailed the uneasy feeling most have in saying he's done something positive pretty well.

Was talk of construction being one of the next to get shut down, similar to the first lockdown, we do the refrigeration for food and pharmaceutical sites so we still have to work, but just stops a lot of new projects, which is a pain in the arse. Yeah, my boss kinda said that today, although this job stayed open throughout the pandemic. Seems construction workers are spreaders now. The main contractor is a bit piss poor really. Its a big site too, lots of trades from all over the world. We have had guys from the US, Portugal, Brazil, New Zealand, Ukraine, Poland even some Welsh. Thought we could have kept those fuckers out...😄😉

The track and trace system they put in place just didn't work, I have the app and it's a load of shit. Our contact and trace system for a long time was an excel spreadsheet while the South Koreans system allowed them to find and inform close contacts within hours of a positive test and have them all tested within a 24hr period. It has proven hugely effective at reducing transmission. In that one example you can see what competent and experienced leadership in government is capable of. You can't use that densely populated island bullshit to explain that one. I can't wait until they investigate what happened in the care homes because in my opinion this government bundled the response to that.

This lockdown is harder for me personally than the first one I think. There was a novelty about that one that isn't there now, and this one is stretching on and on. Saw an article saying today that the target for pubs and restaurants is May, which is bloody depressing.
On the positive side, hopefully this is the last one. I think that once every adult in the UK has been offered the vaccine it'll be hard to maintain any restrictions. At some point you have to say "we've done all we can, time to get on with life", and giving everyone an effective vaccine is surely that. I get the sense that some people are trying to move the goalposts though - maybe that's just a bit of paranoia.
I've booked a holiday to the US for start of December, so can't say I'm not optimistic for the vaccine rollout I guess!

If i was still in my mid 20s living in a city apartment then I would be feeling alot like you. Thankfully Im not. Vaccines are the only way out of this mess and the UK has done well in this regard. 10+ million vaccinations in 8 to 10 weeks means most should be offered it by mid Autumn at this rate. Unfortunately restrictions are likely to remain in place with these variants but we should have vaccinated all those at highest risk by May. That cuts hospitalisations significantly and makes lockdowns harder to justify.

Saw an article saying today that the target for pubs and restaurants is May, which is bloody depressing. Pubs might be open in April but not serving alcohol. Like nipping down to the local brothel for a hug. I speak to quite vulnerable people pretty much every day in my job and the difference in this lockdown is remarkable. Firstly in terms of how badly this has decimated people’s lives by this point. You see these statistics about increases in domestic violence during this time and I wouldn’t say you dismiss them, but if it’s not something you’ve seen first hand, you maybe wouldn’t give too much thought to it. But I’ve spoken to countless people who have fled domestic violence during this pandemic. People living in refuges, on the streets. A single mother with three kids living in a friend’s loft. It’s staggering. But also in terms of loneliness. I have a job to do when I make calls, but there’s so many people who are just happy to be able to have a natter with someone. I get told I’m the only person they’ll speak to this week etc. I was reading something yesterday about a parallel pandemic taking place in terms of mental health. We’ll be counting the cost of this for years to come where that’s concerned.

Well,I’m back from “Mission Jab #1” The organisation was utterly staggering, volunteers in high-vis jackets everywhere, directing people into the car park, the correct line of people (depending on GP surgery), and then letting you know which number table to go to. They’re vaccinating over 2000 people per day at the place!

I had my first jab yesterday at my local GP surgery, they are only capable of vaccinating a maximum of 100 people per day, they said the daily average is about 70 with a list of over 12,000 patients.
Our county does not have a mass vaccination centre, population circa 200,000 maximum of 600 jabs a day being administered due to supply & lack of man power county wide.
