Now it's confirmed I figured might as well give it it's own thread. Doubt any friendlies we have will be televised (though never count out Woowar if he thinks money can be made...) so this is probably the first game we'll all watch.
Pre-pandemic and post-City/Chelsea games I was confident we'd win, and that a win would have us favourites for top four. Now, who knows. The players will definitely be unfit as there hasn't been enough time for a pre-season (Germany had similar, had a bunch of muscle injuries in the first weekend back apparently). And they'll have Kane back, which is a huge boost for them. But Ole made it sound like we will have both Pogba and Rashford back, which is great.
Will be a tough game though, especially against a well-drilled (in theory) Jose side. Not sure how well Pogba will slot back in. I hope both Bruno and Rashford can pick up where they left off pre-pandemic and injury respectively. Those two in peak form could be enough to see us get top 4 and a cup on their own.

Fuck the premier league honestly. I find myself distinctly not giving a flying fuck about football these days. Plain and obvious what these cunts are after, not sure I want to get sucked in. It's so utterly grotesque. Footballers, getting paid hundreds of thousands a week, to kick a ball. Doctors and nurses working day and night to save their fellow human beings and doing it for a pittance - not to mention the free helping of depression, suicidal tendencies and nightmares for their troubles.
I feel genuine disgust at the thought of football starting up so early so that a small bunch of people can make some money. Can't stomach that.

There is absolutely zero chance of my watching football for the foreseeable, certainty not until this Covid situation is normalised if that EVER happens ,Premier League > money grubbing scumbags, hope the majority of players also give it a swerve too as they’re allowed to.

This and Sheffield United our first two games back. Got to hit the ground running. 6 points (maybe even 4) and we’re in a very good position for 4th. Much less and the league season could be basically over as soon as it’s restarted.
No idea whether we will hit the ground running or not of course.

I'd rather have faced them pre-pandemic as we were in form and they weren't.

Didn't they announce one of their players having covid yesterday? Yeah but shut up. Sporting integrity and returning to normality is more important than your trifling globally devastating virus.

i dont know...i cant support the decision to bring back the league, especially the way its done. i`d love to see us play again obviously and hopefully we can find that form we had just before the lockdown. but then again, i have never felt so disconnected from football and i cant really be arsed about it. now i`m saying "fuck that shit, i`m not gonna watch the games." but most likely i will watch it because i really miss sport and watching united. fuck knows...i want to boycott football for what is has become but a tiny bit inside of me is also glad its returning, even if its just for "entertainment" reasons.
