The drop when the subs were made was stark. What a team we're building going forwards. That muscle Mason put on over lockdown is already coming good. Matic rolled back the years to when he was in his pomp for us, takes a player in form to bench Fred from before the lockdown. And that third goal is one of my favourite goals we've scored post Fergie. Only thing that annoyed me is the Greenwood Angel Gomes celebration. He's not fucking dead lads Yeah outside that first eleven it’s bad. Fred , Williams and McTominay aside. If we’d been struggling today who would you put on to try and change things around. There was nobody. We’ve hung on to too many bang average players with very little true competition for places. |

Someone mentioned it earlier but the resurgence of Matic is a joy to behold, probably because it was so unexpected. He’s a brilliant footballer, one of the best CMs to grace the premier league in the last decade. I hope we can win a trophy for the likes of Ole, Carrick etc but Matic as well.

Many including myself thought he was deadwood that needed be shifted out. I have a feeling that Carrick has had an influence on his resurgence. |
