This will be interesting. It’s the type of game under Fergie we put to bed inside 30 mins. But it’s also the type of game post-Fergie we end up drawing 1-1 after a Lev Yashin masterclass. I think this will be vital to telling whether this team is legit.

I think this will be vital to telling whether this team is legit.For me, the win against Brighton has already partially done that as that's the sort of game we'd typically have fucked up previously. If we can beat Bournemouth and then Villa in the same manner, I think we can safely say we are moving in the right direction and it's not just been one or two random results. The big worry for me though is our lack of depth and Norwich showed that, and that's why we have to be buying both Sancho and Grealish in the summer so if Pogba/Bruno are injured, we don't just crumble and look totally lost going forward again. |
