I’m being overly negative but what, we get back into the competition and then not spend money because we have the worst owners in all of sport. And even if we did spend it will be dwarfed by what City and PSG do with any thought of censure. Football today changed fundamentally for me. |

A little nervous about this as they've been playing pretty well and I was impressed by them against Everton the other day. That said, if we carry on playing the way we have then we should win.
Same lineup as normal, get it won and then rest players after 60 mins or so. I can see Ole rotating quite heavily for the Chelsea game as well, although an FA cup would be nice, CL is so much more important.

i think this will be our toughest game since the restart. southampton are a good side, beat city just recently and i dont believe they will park the bus. they will not hide and try attacking us so we might be able to utilize some of our counter attacks. we need the 3 points but i dont think we'll win this by 3 goals, too good of a side southampton

They beat city but they had nothing to play for. Southampton will give us problems but we’re on fire at the moment. |

Yep, what kind of message has just been sent out to the football world when UEFA are so easily overturned, makes them look utterly incompetent. We're proper screwed now, wait for the 200-300 outlay from City in the summer, something we can never do. Anyway, nervous for tonight, Southampton have nothing to fear so can play freely which makes them dangerous. Hoping we get off to a fast start, not like the plodding we had at Villa, the lads shouldn't need building up for this one!! |
