So, if United win, Leicester win and Chelsea lose their next games, United go to 65, Leicester to to 65, Chelsea stay on 63. So United and Leicester could play out a draw and we both go to CL on goal difference if Chelsea beat Wolves. That would be glorious. I know we had a poor season, but Chelsea managing to qualify for the CL two seasons in a row when they’ve been grossly inconsistent is very irritating (as in, I can see them beat Liverpool 3:0, and then lose to Wolves 3:0).

I’d play the B team against the rents It’s sad to say growing up when the FA cup was massive but we need our best 11 to have a few days rest. When I was a teenager supporting United, it was fantastic to win the FA Cup - good memories of ‘83 and ‘85. I wouldn’t dismiss it - this is the trophy that got the ball rolling for Fergie. Also it would be a big booster for the squad and especially Ole to land some silverware. Semi at Wembley - I’d play as strong a team as possible personally and I hope Ole does.

CL for me because it will help us with recruitment. That was a leggy performance today and without some questionable VAR decisions in our favour we would have drew. We could also play a weak team vs Chelsea and still not make the top 4. I just personally think we need to play each game and each competition as they come. The club desperately needs success and for me lifting the FA Cup still has huge merit and significance. I agree we could still miss out on CL but I do consider CL football success for this team, the cup is a bonus. I wouldnt consider it a successful season if we win the cup and miss out on the CL again. Im sure ole would love to freshen the team up but his options are limited. Im pretty sure both teams will rest players.

For me yesterday and the game before is probably why we want a player like Grealish. Please see key word being a player like.
Bruno cannot and should not be expected to play every game. Dear I say it but it would seem that ole wants someone that just thinks forward, doesn’t slow the game down etc this might be why mata didn’t start and Bruno rest.
I think rw and no.10 are crucial to inject additional quality and something different. I really can’t see the need for another striker with martial, Greenwood developing and for that needing games and we also have ighalo. A CB would be great but if so I think of the other dance partners to Harry lindelof would be the least likely to accept being on the bench.
The signs are good and three quality signings this summer builds on what is hopefully a good end to the season.

Whatever your thoughts on playing a full strength side or making changes (both sides are valid) it’s an absolute joke that Chelsea get 2 days extra rest.

We were a bit shit last night, but we still won and we needed that kind of performance to get over the Southampton set back so they've done well.
Bruno was poor last night. No idea how BT Sport game him MOTM, but he looks a bit shot now. Should have scored too. He could do with a rest. He's getting a lot of praise, and rightly so, but i think Martial is the main man at the moment. He's been brilliant.

Really think we squeaked it out today with guys looking tired. If the Ayew goal isn’t overturned, might be different feeling today.
Don’t see how anyone can argue winning FA Cup is more important than CL qualification. Or that this teams depth is comparable to treble winners who balanced everything.
Would like to see: DDG, TFM, Maguire, Bailly, Dalot, Fred, McT, Rashford, Lingard, James, Ighalo
Credit where credit is due- TFM exceeded my low expectations.

Very much a forgotten man until yesterday. Did a great job. Not so good going forward, but solid at the back. A possible DM role in the future, maybe even a CB if required.

We need to sign a proper central midfield player because we have been giving the ball away for fun of late. Bruno is not a central midfield player imo, he plays much further up the field and that's a good thing because he's much more effective there but our inability to look after the ball in midfield is one of the reasons this team is shattered. We spend a lot of time just chasing it. I think we are one quality signing away from having a decent midfield. At no point last night did we put our foot on the ball and give the back four a break. Doesn't matter how good you are at the back, constant pressure eventually leads to goals.

TFM could be our new Sheasy. Provide cover for a load of positions.
All things considered I thought he was great last night.

Agree about martial and like it’s been said before that’s why we get so annoyed at him when he goes invisible because he has outrageous ability and even more potential left.
TFM done well especially not playing first team football in so long. Happy for him to be a squad/utility player and I think he will accept that too. Plus you need players willing and ready to play bit parts and be called upon on a days notice.
