If you think the nett spend was approx 70 last summer,it's going to be less this summer & we've already signed Bruno from the summer fund. Just to fund Sancho there is going to have to be some fairly hefty out fees before Sancho is signed.
There’s no one to sell to attract those fees, bar maybe Dave.
The cynic in thinks that's why he keeps talking him up the way he does,he wasn't quite so understanding with Lingard, not that he was at a world class level like DDG.

I get it but the only thing now that matters is getting into the champions league and we’re on pace to do that, as unlikely as it probably seemed in January.
Which normally I’d ‘celebrate’ but I can’t seem to find the enthusiasm. Because I know that it won’t mean anything other than lots of lovely dividends for our friends in Florida.
I feel the same way, on pace for the same point total (or less) and yet a chance of 3rd. My only hope is that the owners will be motivated by the £££ in seeing a potential resurgence by the club being led by a legend in Ole so will back him.
If they have fucked him over this early on,then we are screwed. Surely most would agree that he was given the job because he was available cheaply & they knew if would pacify the support. But from day one he has trotted out the same rhetoric, time, process,DNA,youth,United family etc,so surely the lack of signings are not a surprise? I don't think he fucked over when it came to Haaland,Bellingham both did not want us & him. Who else was he expecting to sign? Bruno was a summer 2020 target bought forward in panic to Jan 2020,that money has gone already from the budget. Who could argue with the signings, that have been made, most clubs would have taken Bruno,Maguire,AWB..Dan James was a punt that may or may not payoff. Maguire looked a player at Leicester, the drop off in form has to be down the enviroment he is now in,it's poor coaching, fitness, instruction, players around him or the job is just simply too big for him. The transfer are protracted because we have non football people trying to do deals with experienced agents,so I get the element of caution. The finances are also so fragile, that rather than just pay an asking fee,if they wring every last penny out of it,so they see that as mission accomplished. Again, the renewing of contracts are handled badly because they are being structured by the same non football people. We need a decent DOF. With the mess that Woodward,Arnold,Glazers have created our nett spend will very likely drop again this. If I were a betting man,I'd say if we spend a £100 mill this summer,at least £50 mill will have to be generated through sales. There won't be multiple big signings we all know that.
He talked last summer about signing a CB and another forward if Lukaku left. He was then told by Woodward to pick one or the other. This was going to happen only after Lukaku was sold. Ogden was giving pelters when he said we’d have a net spend of around 70 million. Which we then had. This seems to be the magic number for Woodward and the Glazers. They might go crazy if we get Champion’s League but we’re talking 100 mill net spend at the very most. So if we buy Sancho for around 85, which I expect, then anything else will largely be paid for by sales. So you’re looking at kids or punts like Daniel James rather than battle hardened pros like Koulibaly. We may well go for relegated players but don’t be fooled it’s because we have seen some untapped potential, it’s because they’ll be dirt cheap.
Less the Bruno fee, don't forget.
We win together, lose together. We celebrate triumph and endure defeat together. Losses are softened and victories sweetened because we do them together. One team. One religion. One love.

cjjagzmoni: Pogba is a good lad minus the showboating..I think at Juventus he had Older players like Pirlo,Chiellini,Marchisio,Bonucci who shout and screams at him so he was more serious at Juve ,We dont have those type of leaders at United to caution him.
