If they have fucked him over this early on,then we are screwed.
Surely most would agree that he was given the job because he was available cheaply & they knew if would pacify the support.
But from day one he has trotted out the same rhetoric, time, process,DNA,youth,United family etc,so surely the lack of signings are not a surprise?
I don't think he fucked over when it came to Haaland,Bellingham both did not want us & him.
Who else was he expecting to sign?
Bruno was a summer 2020 target bought forward in panic to Jan 2020,that money has gone already from the budget.
Who could argue with the signings, that have been made, most clubs would have taken Bruno,Maguire,AWB..Dan James was a punt that may or may not payoff.
Maguire looked a player at Leicester, the drop off in form has to be down the enviroment he is now in,it's poor coaching, fitness, instruction, players around him or the job is just simply too big for him.
The transfer are protracted because we have non football people trying to do deals with experienced agents,so I get the element of caution.
The finances are also so fragile, that rather than just pay an asking fee,if they wring every last penny out of it,so they see that as mission accomplished.
Again, the renewing of contracts are handled badly because they are being structured by the same non football people.
We need a decent DOF.
With the mess that Woodward,Arnold,Glazers have created our nett spend will very likely drop again this.
If I were a betting man,I'd say if we spend a £100 mill this summer,at least £50 mill will have to be generated through sales.
There won't be multiple big signings we all know that.
