The PL are set to confirm that every club will get at least 30 days between their final game of this season and the start of next. So if we reach the Europa final on August 21st, we'd not play a game in next season's PL before Sunday September 20th, 8 days after some clubs start on Saturday September 12th.

If we're truly honest with ourselves we all know deep down Ole isn't the guy. It’s not only about the fans but whether the Glazers have the ambition to do anything about it.

Shouldn’t be any talk of replacing Ole at this moment in time. He’s 100% earned his place for at least another season. As previously stated he has to now be given the funds to improve the squad and see if he can take the side to the next level.
Many don’t think he can, which I understand but he deserves the opportunity.

If we're truly honest with ourselves we all know deep down Ole isn't the guy. This. And had we finished 5th, you'd have to say that that was par for this squad. In ways, we've over-acheived this season. 2 Cup Semis, a good European run and a top 3 finish. But we're so far behind the top 2, and Chelsea's signings make me wary that they'll be a proper force next season too, to the point where we're going to need a genius of a manager to compete with those, because we're not going to do it by making signings. I find it interesting that some rate Fat Frank's ability to get more out of his squad with additional signings than Ole if he is in the same position (i.e backed in the market). In fairness, Ole has more coaching experience and you'd expect that to count, providing he has the right assistants and continues to learn and develop. The correct new additions could seriously step us up another notch IMO.

Our points total and gap to the champions is more telling than actual league position. I'm almost always of the view the final table doesn't lie, but we are not the third best team in the country. And we are nowhere near even second. We rested players in a Cup semi-final FFS. That's pathetic. Ole has a little slack but if you told me Nagelsmann, Nuno or even Rodgers wanted the job I'd want us exploring it. Simeone too.

The league this season was genuinely one of the worst I've watched as a fan. Other than an imperious scouse side and the occasional brilliant citeh performance, this division is toss. Even the Fergie side of Djemba, Kelberson, Bellion and Smith would've pissed the last 2 or 3 years.

As long as they don’t do anything dumb like extending his contract. This job needs assessment on a season by season basis.

By the way...what's Poch up to these days? Biding his time? Probably waiting for Newcastle to get the green light for a takeover to happen. We only sack managers early season when they start slagging off the management.

By the way...what's Poch up to these days? Biding his time? Not taking a job so he can continue to collect his severance from Spurs. (Quite reasonably I should add. There are no plum jobs going yet.)
