Pogba, Fernandes, Matic, Martial and Rashford shouldn't be on the bench either. they all need to be RESTED! WTF is Ole thinking? Correct me if I'm wrong but being on the bench they are rested unless they come on. Think people are getting a bit too worked up over the line up. Aslong as there arent any injuries I couldn't give a rats ass what the line up is. no issues, ill correct you. to be on the bench one must train as if they are in the starting team, go through the warm up, and the warm down. comparing that to a rum punch while on the beach (or in the players quarters) is a million miles apart. it shouldn't be too difficult to recall names of players who have been injured in the warm up, why risk even that for a dead rubber. this, again, shows more of Ole's weaknesses than anything IMHO. what is achieved by having them on the bench, a photo op? at least some academy graduates could have been exposed to more of the first team experience and used that as motivation to push on, this brings nothing whatsoever other than unnecessary risks. |
