Sevilla are a very good side, but Wolves did well against them and were unlucky. Hopefully we can go one better.

Wolves looked knackered ...much like another team I can think of

We have a dire record against Spanish clubs. Only scraped through in the EL in the knockout with Jose as I recall. We won’t get away with being wasteful in front of goal like the last match.

We’ll beat them if we turn up. As I said in the other thread, I think this is a decent match up for us. Our forwards can hurt them if we time our counters properly. We will have less of the ball but I don’t think this is that much of a problem, our best performances have come in similar circumstances ie City. I didn’t think we looked in any way knackered in the last game and actually thought we got much stronger as the game went on. We have to start far better but if the keeper hadn’t had a Freidel we’d be going into this on the back of a 4-0 thumping.

It's a good barometer for next season too. Sevilla are a good side - since lockdown a very good one - but most of the truly top teams, like Bayern, would beat them without much trouble. No one thinks we are at Bayern's level right now, but any form of win in 90 minutes would be a good omen.
The same can all be said of Inter for the final as well.

There's a reason Sevilla keep doing so well in the Europa League but not much in the Champions League. They're a good side, on their day can be very good, but generally just good. Hence they are a massive threat in the Europa League but in the Champions League the best teams find them out pretty quick. That's been United too over the last few years. We need to see if we're actually better than that or if still just a routine "good" side.

Guardian preview has 1-0 Sevilla. Sevilla won’t keep us goalless. We may not win but we’ll score.

Our recent form won’t be good enough to beat Sevilla, Rashford Bruno and Pogba will need to be very good tonight or it’s curtains.

Got a strange feeling Dan James starts this one ahead of Mason.

Got a strange feeling Dan James starts this one ahead of Mason. Jesus you better be wrong. Possession will be difficult enough to keep without James running down blind alleys.
