As annoying as Lingard can be, he always gave 100%. I don't recall ever seeing him jogging back when he should have been running, or failing to press when he was instructed to. He wasn't good enough but on the pitch he did try hard. Some of our lot could still learn from that.
I don't want Lingard to play for us again, but good luck to him. I expect his energy will prove useful at West Ham or another similar level club.

Long overdue and West Ham is about his level. Now he needs to perform so that they buy him at the end of the season.

Most often takes the easy pass, the cul-de-sac dribble, or the run to nowhere. Had big hopes for him once; he never grew up. |

Anyone heard of Joules Kounde? I'm pretty sure he was City's first choice ahead of Dias last summer, so he must be decent. It feels like a bit much to be quoted 60 odd million for an uncapped defender, but then you remember that France have at least a dozen CB's that would walk into England's (and our) first teams |
