I tell you what though- a big club would have offered a decent fee for Sancho. The second that broke down they would have moved to Grealish. Instead we bought kids and signed a 34 year old free agent. No wonder we’re mid-table. |

The moment we bought VDB, the Grealish pursuit was over. We took the cheaper option and it might explain why Ole isn’t so enthusiastic to play VDB since he isn’t his preferred target.
I believe Mitten mentioned in a summer podcast that a very good player and his agent were shocked that United had not even made an approach. My guess the player he’s referring to was Grealish. I’m sure Villa would have backed down on their demands and possibly took a player plus cash deal but the fact we never made an attempt to get him is just a typical day for our incompetent club.

He was the cheaper option I'll agree with that much but thats down Grealish being ridiculously over priced, nothing to do with ability. Donny has looked decent in most games he's come off the bench in to be fair. |
