We have been utter trash but we have gotten in on them. If he changes tactics we could get an early goal second half, then who knows. His tactics in this game have been atrocious. For all the defensive players on the pitch we havent defended well at all. Totally agree. We've been set up solely for a counter attack and it isn't working. My point was as much as Ole has fucked up with this, the players can't even get the basics right. Everything has been a mess. The only positive is its not 3 or 4. Unbelievable how many chances we end up wasting aswell. I agree some of the players general play is poor but the last thing we needed was to play 3 at the back and play so many defensive players. The middle of our pitch is a vaccum, theres nobody in there. Mason dropped into midfield half a dozen times at the end of that half, he wouldnt be doing that if someone was occupying that space. The difference between the two teams tactically is incredible. Its basic stuff at this level. Shaw and AWB are seeing more of the ball than anyone, thats a disaster. |

This might sound like hyperbole being said in the heat of the moment, but I genuinely can't remember a United team as utterly terrible defensively as this side. Every single week we're talking about how we should have conceded 4 or 5. Every week. The Spurs games wasn't a freak one off, the other games where we don't get hit for multiple goals are freak games. Brighton, FUCKING BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION, scored 2 and hit the woodwork 5 times. West Ham should have hit 4 at the weekend. We're are shockingly disorganised at the back. Only rank finishing and some occasional good 'keeping has kept scores down. And, again, we have a 50M RB, 80M centre, back, a pair of 30M centre backs, and a 30M LB. Remember when VDS went like 14 games without conceding a goal? Jesus Christ. We had 3 centre backs then in Evans, Pique and Brown who were back ups. All 3 would absolutely walk straight into this team without a second glance. Kane and son have been on fire all season and if city or Liverpool hit the ground running against us expect a fucking pasting |
