They were there for the taking and he bottled it. 1 sub made. They weren’t great last night and if we are serious about a title challenge they are games you have to grab by the scruff of the neck and get the win.
He played it too safe. We had players that could have came on and caused problems for them too.

For balance, I thought Maguire had his best game in ages last night. It's easy to defend when the opposition is intent on playing a million passes in front of you.

I feel like delivering cards with a flask full of port without watching a minute of the match was a good decision in the end..

For balance, I thought Maguire had his best game in ages last night. I thought he was good at West Ham too. Deserves credit, especially considering the collection of clowns surrounding him.

I think there is a good defender in Maguire. I don’t see any positive traits in Lindelof. He is poor at reading the flight of the ball, he isn’t strong in the tackle and I don’t see anything about his passing of any note.

Two observations (apologies if made elsewhere in the thread). 1. Shaw's corner deliveries were top drawer. Has he been practising? 2. The sooner we stop the short passing shit from goal kicks, the better!

To be honest pogba played well , still shouldn't be starting games after that stunt he pulled with his agent. At least thats what i think , may be Ole thinks we are already paying his salary , might as well as utilize him to the fullest. We should be all over the rumoured January loan to Juventus like a rash. Get his over-paid, poisonous arse out of OT under any circumstances. Hopefully he’ll then announce he’s “home” and set the league on fire so his value increases ready for him to be sold. Can only but dream!

How the fuck are we 5 of the top with a game in hand, this season could be our best chance to win it in years, obviously we won't do anything about it though as that will cost money

Very tough second half of the season will put us out of contention.

Very tough second half of the season will put us out of contention. Which is what makes it more frustrating settling for draws. Had we beaten city we would one win from top. Given the tough 2nd half of the season I'd have thought it would register with some at the club that we really can't afford to settle in any game, especially against the top 6 teams.

He is poor at reading the flight of the ball, he isn’t strong in the tackle and I don’t see anything about his passing of any note. There really isn't a good defender in Maguire. We have seen Lindelof be a good defender though. Vidic was not quick or particularly gifted on the ball but he he was utterly dominate in the air and could man handle strikers. He owned his area and made few mistakes. Ferdinand made up for his limitations in other areas and vice versa but Maguire really doesnt have any of those qualities. Maguire is really quite average and at 27 a long shot if hes ever to be a quality centre half. I think both centre halves need to compliment eachouter but one cannot carry the other. We got mugged by Leicester, to pay 80m for him was one of the worst bits of business I can remember. You pay that money for a Ferdinand or a Van Dijk. There Rolls Royces in comparison. Had he cost 20 or 30m it might not sting quite as much leaving him on the bench.
