He’s had better players plenty of times before. Won nothing. Take the day off. As my last post above Then what was the point of the question?

Then what was the point of the question? just to see how our team(as it is)would get on by going all out attack as we can’t seem to defend very well at the moment anyway(I only picked out the Leeds manager because of his attack, attack, attack football) if you score 3 we’ll score 4 and all that.

You have to say that Leeds are always going to be there for taking, our defending & players in that system largely leave a lot to be deired, but despite that we played well & deserved to beat those horrible bastards.

It also must be said that Ole got the tactics spot on today. Most of us (myself included) were bricking it after seeing the lineup but Ole saw them coming and ripped our bitterest rivals to pieces. Also, If someone had told you on the day the window shut that we’d be 5 points off top with a game in hand in late Dec, put 6 past Leeds and be topping our CL group going into the final match, you’d have been over the moon. Plenty of positives so far. Whilst I take the overall point, the ‘topping our CL group going into the final match’ one is pretty disingenuous given what happened next! ‘Ending up in the Europa again’ would have been much more in line with everyone’s expectations.

Not ole bashing but how does everyone think the Leeds manager would get on in charge of Utd(working with better quality players)? I adore Bielsa, he’s a proper icon of the game, and it kills me he’s at Leeds. But even Guardiola is more pragmatic than him and his actual record is hardly special. I’d much rather see him in charge of England, where he can cause some proper chaos and his inevitable fucks ups would annoy me far less.

Beat Leicester and then I’ll properly believe. It still feels a Dave Sexton title challenge for me.

There all at it this morning, saying we are challenging for the league. Its complete bullshit, two weeks ago we wanted Oles head on a spike and now we are title contenders? Anyone can look at that table and work out how weird this season has been. 2 weeks ago, Spurs were going to win it, now there aiming for top 4. Chelsea lost two on the bounce. If we get to spring within a few wins, then yes we are in it. Im hopeful but we are not going to play teams as wide open as Leeds every week.

Slightly disingenuous, yes, but only as much as suggesting our entry into the Europa was as people expected. A massacre was predicted, so to actually top the group going into the final day drastically exceeded expectations. Screwing it all up unfortunately, did not.

Not buying into this bullshit at all...we are the same team that has turned in some pitiful performances this season and last... I think going forward we are fine, if somewhat wasteful but we are absolute shit at the back... I still think Tuanzebe is the best CB we have and yet he can't get past the Lindelof / Maguire duopoly... If we could get someone the likes of Upamecano and ditch the other clowns then that would go a long way... On last night, McT had the game of his life...much as I like the lad and would hope that this is the start of something big, I feel that this may have been a flash in the pan...IMHO, he is unlikely to to be able to replicate that level on a regular basis. I really want to be proved wrong because he was immense last night... As with many things, time will tell...

For now I just want to enjoy seeing us win. That being said, if we sign a top CB in January, I’ll believe that there’s a real desire to win it though.

Only lost 3 of the last 27 games, since Bruno's debut. 58 points gained in that time, only Liverpool (with 60) have more. I mean, on paper that all looks like a team set up to challenge again, but we can't dispute what we see with our own eyes and it always looks like we're on the verge of another poor run of results. And God forbid Bruno gets injured. But for now I'm just enjoying being ahead of Spurs and Chelsea seeing as the London media were waxing lyrical about them just a couple of weeks ago.
