Shit game. But we rested who needed to be rested and we won, so I can't be too annoyed.
This week has been a good reminder for how good we actually are though, instead of how good we thought we were before it.

Not that I'm calling for Dave to be dropped because for me he's still No.1 but I do like how commanding Henderson is in and around the box. Dave rarely seems to leave his 6 hard box whereas Hendo uses the the whole area. He's far more confident in the air with crosses aswell. Minus breaking Bailly in the process.
Very good keeper there to take over from Dave eventually.

Every time Mata plays for us now it just sickens me how badly we have wasted his career/ability. People regularly, and understandably, bring up Kagawa. But honestly Mata was worse. At his peak he was one of the finest #10s this league has ever seen, which is one hell of a field. He was that good. Too soon |

Ofcourse hes had a great career but just not at that level for me. |

Most if not all clubs must use the same coaching manual as they all play out from the back, they’ve all stopped putting a defender on each post for corners too.

I dont mind playing out from the back as a tactic , its just that we are executing it poorly.
Better than hoofing it mindlessly into the middle only to lose possession and start another attack
Also i feel most of our players are comfortable to receive ball on the ground than in the air.

This is exactly the point. On ability Mata should be considered in that bracket. We have managed to make him an irrelevance in that company. |

When Mata was at Valencia I thought he would be an amazing signing. When we signed him from Chelsea I even thought he would manage to save Moyes’s shitshow. There’s no doubt moving to United has been the wrong career move for Mata, because we’ve managed to extract only a fraction of what he’s capable of.

What is clear is DVB is cut from the same cloth as Mata & yet OGS seems determined to destroy the lads confidence,he'll be back on the bench with hardly a look in for the next two.
The must look at the likes of McAverage & wonder how he ended up at a club,where he is clearly not wanted & getting less game time & being captained by such a player.
