So in recent weeks Tatty has started threads for a win over City to end their winning run, and a win over Milan to stay in the Europa League. Big question is do we go with Tatty for a run of threads now, and risk burn out; or just use Tatty as our secret weapon for the big games? He could do better. I had to Google which competition it was because he didn't put it on the thread title. I think that is superstition rather than ineptitude. |

I don't normally read through match day threads so what does everyone think about that? First half I had my head in my hands tbh but we seemed to liven up when Pogba came on. We just weren't as dominant as we should be. I think you have to be happy whenever you get a win at the San Siro regardless of the performance. |

We just weren't as dominant as we should be. It’s a tough one, isn’t it? We weren’t pretty, and didn’t look good for long periods and yet we ground out a win on a notoriously difficult ground. As a result for the history books - awesome! As a performance? Meh! (as is so often the case these days, IMO). |

The thing with Pogba is, we might as well get him signed up to a new contract because he’s a damn good player on his day but more importantly we won’t replace him so I’d rather he gets the wage than the bastard Glazers pocketing his transfer fee. I think it’s the likely outcome. We won’t get what we want for him money wise, we will just cough up money and keep him. By letting the likes of matic, mata, Jones exit you free up wages on players that haven’t really played or played much and give a portion to a player that is a genuine world beater when he switches on As I said previously one big signing in the mold of Sancho or dembele or varane or haaland even and I firmly believe pogba signs up |

Surprisingly , our CBs are having a good run of games. My worry is this will convince ed not to buy one in the next window.
Henderson was excellent , he should be ahead of Dave now.
Bruno was very mediocre for the entire game and we still managed to win !

Henderson's all round game is better he`s more of a complete keeper, we look a bit safer with him on set pieces he`s better taking the ball in the air and has better distribution.

On the draw- I’d be happy enough to face any side bar Arsenal. They’re bang average but seem to become this season’s Wolves for some reason.

De Gea was suited when we were the type of side gifting the opposition 15 chances a game. He's a superb shot stopper, one of, if not the best I've ever seen. He's always looked a little suspect for Spain, in games where he just needs to do the basics right or be called into action once or twice a game. That isn't to say I don't appreciate how good he was for us, we needed him then just to finish in the top half but I think the time has come for a change.
Henderson is more vocal with the defence, commands his area better and recycles the ball quicker. He'll never be as good a shot stopper as Dave, he's going to concede goals that de Gea, in his prime at least, would've saved but right now I simply feel much more confident with him in goal.

Also we absolutely should win the competition from here, anything else is a complete failure. Best side left by a mile. Not too fussed who we get in the draw as we shouldn't fear any of them, particularly over 2 legs.
